Experience the Grand Canyon on a guided Sunset Rim Tour with Canyon Ministries, exploring this world-renowned landscape from a biblical Creation perspective.
The tour begins inside Grand Canyon National Park at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center flagpole, meeting approximately four hours before sunset. Travel in comfort along Desert View Drive on the South Rim’s east side, stopping at some of the canyon’s most spectacular overlooks and panoramic viewpoints.
At each stop, step out to enjoy breathtaking scenery, explore the rim, and engage in meaningful teaching. Your guide shares fascinating insights into Grand Canyon geology, wildlife, and history, framed by the biblical account of Creation and the Flood described in Genesis.
The tour concludes with a stunning Grand Canyon sunset as the sun sets over the western horizon. Duration varies by season, returning about 30 minutes after sunset.

What To Expect
Grand Canyon South Rim
Our biblical creation tours of the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim include multiple stops to the very best overlooks with tons of insightful teaching throughout the day. The order below is a "typical" route, focusing on the park's east side along Desert View Drive. Due to changing weather, seasons, or the people flow in the park that day, we may have alternate stops other than what we provide below. Our tours are not "scripted", so guides have the freedom and flexibility to respond to changes in the park as well as your own individual group dynamic. Our tour does not include entry fee into the Grand Canyon National Park, which you may pay at the gate or use a National Park Pass. Entry is good for 7 days of unlimited use.
Grand Canyon Visitor Center South Rim
Our tour meets at the flag pole just outside the Grand Canyon Visitor Center building INSIDE the park at tour start time. Plan extra arrival time during spring and summer. Holidays and spring break may have lines over an hour long getting into the park. We suggest you arrive early and enjoy views at the Grand Canyon Village or Mather Point or a Rim Trail walk before joining our tour.

5.00This was the best tour my family has ever taken. David was a knowledgeable, fun, helpful tour guide who went above and beyond to help us navigate the Grand Canyon. He did a phenomenal job discussing the geology of the Grand Canyon in connection with God’s creation. Unlike the explanations from geologists, David’s explanations actually make sense. I highly recommend this tour!!!!!!

5.00We had a fantastic Grand Canyon tour with Canyon Ministries! It was such a fun, beautiful, and informative experience. Our tour guide Dana was so knowledgeable and made the tour so enjoyable. She answered every single one of our questions in great detail. We saw a sunset over the Grand Canyon at the end of the tour with vibrant pink and orange colors because of the clouds overhead. 5.00Our tour guide Emilia knows a lot about the Grand Canyon and about Scripture. We watch Gods creation and see and learn about the impact of the big flood on this area. It was nice that she read from Scripture and combined it with the blood of Jesus Christ. Yeshua: salvation is His name! At the end we watch the sunset at Moran point.

5.00We had a wonderful time on our Biblical Creation Sunset Tour. Dana was a wonderful guide. She shared information about the Grand Canyon and Biblical verses that applied to what we were seeing. The vans were a good size so that it didn't seem too crowded. Our tour included just adults but I think the tour would be good for children also.

5.00We had a great time on the tour. We had a small group of 11 and the tour guide shared his testimony and was very knowledgeable. Love the stories of the biblical view on the geography and plants and animals. The sunset is better with clouds. We had no clouds, but got photos of the sun reflecting colors on the canyon on the opposite side. Everything reflects the glory of God!

5.00On May 23, 2026, my husband Larry, my daughter Tori and I took the 4-hour Biblical Creation Sunset Tour of the Grand Canyon's National Park South Rim. We had a wonderful time, the sights of the canyon were beautiful and indeed "grand!" Our tour guide, Emilia, was professional, friendly, articulate and knowledgeable about the park, as well as, a careful and safe driver to the different points of interest in the park.
