Grand Canyon South Rim
Our biblical creation tours of the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim include multiple stops to the very best overlooks with tons of insightful teaching throughout the day. The order below is a "typical" route, focusing on the park's east side along Desert View Drive. Due to changing weather, seasons, or the people flow in the park that day, we may have alternate stops other than what we provide below. Our tours are not "scripted", so guides have the freedom and flexibility to respond to changes in the park as well as your own individual group dynamic. Our tour does not include entry fee into the Grand Canyon National Park, which you may pay at the gate or use a National Park Pass. Entry is good for 7 days of unlimited use.
Grand Canyon Visitor Center South Rim
Our tour meets at the flag pole just outside the Grand Canyon Visitor Center building INSIDE the park at tour start time. Plan extra arrival time during spring and summer. Holidays and spring break may have lines over an hour long getting into the park. We suggest you arrive early and enjoy views at the Grand Canyon Village or Mather Point or a Rim Trail walk before joining our tour.

It was an amazing tour! Dana led us to the best views, & she was a delight to spend the day with! Excellent driving skills demonstrated as she pointed out fauna & flora; gave interesting history of the region & early people groups; deep knowledge of geology, shredding the evolutionists to pieces as she explained the rock types & layers, fossils, & what was happening on, under, & above the earth during & after the flood, how the canyon & other places around the earth were formed & transformed, all while reading from scripture & leading some inspiring devotionals! Very personalized, comfortable ride, bathroom stops as needed, nice small group, & kept us on schedule to make sure we enjoyed the gorgeous sunset & stayed as long as we wanted to see all the changing colors of the sky. Breathtaking! I will be back for Canyon Ministries' river rafting & hiking tours! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dana was a wonderful tour guide. Her passion for Christ and of nature really shines through. It was so neat to sit beside this wonder of nature and hear scripture tied in to the creation of the canyon. Highly recommend!!

This experience far surpassed what my wife and I expected. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. Dana was the best! She started right off with reading scripture. The stops we made were totally great views, and Dana was very knowledgeable. The end of the tour was a great place to see a magnificent sunset, and also for a couple (on the tour with us) to get engaged in front of us. BUT, the most important part of the journey happened before the van even left the parking lot. There was a man named Alcinder, a native american, listening to Dana read the Bible to us from Genesis, and speak of Jesus. Alcinder asked for prayer, for back pain, and the release from addiction. Dana asked if anyone would like to join her in laying of hands, and praying for Alcinder. 1/2 the van emptied and prayed, as we were finishing, one of us in the group led Alcinder in a prayer, of Salvation!!! What more could you ask for!! God bless this ministry, and God bless you, Dana! -Karl & Cheryl

The Sunset tour was fantastic! Emelia was our tour operator. She was kind, thoughtful and quite knowledgeable. She made sure we had a memorable experience. She was very interactive, able to answer all our questions whether biblically or questions pertaining to history and the terrain. She even helped with photos! We couldn't be more thankful to have chosen Canyon Ministries.

We enjoyed this experience very much! David was extremely knowledgeable, both with geology and science as well as Scripture and was able to explain how they fit together. He was very helpful and thoughtful. Our trip ended when it was quite dark in the parking lot and he dropped each group off at their vehicle. He went above and beyond. We are so glad that we went on this excursion. We really learned a lot. Thank you David!!!!

Great tour!! Our tour guide, Dana, was terrific. Her knowledge (biblical, scientific, and local), was impressive, and combined with her friendliness, made for a fantastic and very memorable tour.

We enjoyed it so much. So refreshing to hear a biblical, creation view. It has changed the way we will look at rock formations.

This tour was a truly amazing experience. Dana, our guide, was not only extremely knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon but with her degree in science she brought a wealth of knowledge to our tour experience. (I say that as someone who also has a science degree. She gave me lots to think about.) She took us to numerous overlooks and ensured we were in an ideal place for the sunset over the canyon and helped us capture the best photo images. Since the parking lot was quite dark at the end of our tour, she ensured each person was dropped off where their car was parked. Her kindness on full display. (She also leads hikes down into the canyon.) This tour was a top highlight during our trip to Arizona!
