Michael was excellent! Great crash course in Taiwan’s history. A good way to get a lay of the land and see some of the major sites. Delicious breakfast that felt very authentic. Had an awesome time! Would definitely recommend.

Really great tour with a lot of history lessons! It’s like East Asia History on wheels. Our guide even gave us great food recommendations!

Very nice to do and discover the city a bit. Guide knew a lot to tell, was in no hurry and paid attention to all participants. Breakfast was "different" but very tasty and because he told us what it was we tried everything. Had some useful tips from him afterwards, very useful to discover everything.

Fantastic - one of the best things we did in Taipei. The tour guide was brilliant, enthusiastic, fund and incredibly knowledgable.

We arrived early after a late flight and went to the meeting point, but no guide showed up. Only after checking the Viator app did I see a late-night note saying the guide had lost his voice. When we eventually connected, we were sent a generic “top ten” list that wasn’t useful for a one-day visit, including a Japanese restaurant and a walking street far across the city. With only one day in Taipei and it now being mid-morning, there was no realistic way to pivot or recreate the experience we had booked. We ended up spending the day wandering without a plan. I understand that people get sick, but there was no meaningful attempt to provide an alternative — no replacement guide, no modified tour, no practical backup plan. The booking was refunded, but the experience itself was lost. If your time in Taipei is limited, I would think carefully before relying on this tour.

We had a long layover and this was a great little tour of Taipei! Our guide Mike was excellent with all the history of the country! Fascinating stories and history - we thoroughly enjoyed! And the changing of the guard was interesting too!! We wish we had more time to explore the city!

This was great, informative & fun. Perhaps we should’ve done this on Day 1 as Mike gave us so much more info to do while in Taipei!

Tony provided a lot of insightful historical and present day information along the way and guided us astutely through some crowded areas. I hadn’t been on a bike in a while, but did alright with the route he led us along. Breakfast was delicious, too.

This was a really really enjoyable morning, I'm glad I booked it. It was better than I expected, and I expected it to be good after seeing other reviews. The format of the tour being on bikes works perfectly. We were able to travel quickly between each point on the tour, and quickly park up when we arrived at each one. There was none of the fuss of getting on and off a bus. We covered a little over 10km over the morning and it was never hard work. We were on wide sidewalks for the most part and Taipei's pedestrians are used to being near cyclists. The bikes themselves were comfortable city bikes with easy 3-speed gears, and were well maintained by the bike shop. Helmets (optional) were provided. Our guide Mike was very knowledgable about the places we visited as well as how each one fits into Taiwan's unique history. Especially on mid 20th century history he gave an account which I felt was well informed and unbiased. It really sparked my interest and lead to some evenings spent reading and learning more.
