What To Expect
Jade Buddha Temple
Your friendly tour guide will meet you in your hotel lobby. Then, head to Jade Buddha Temple, the most popular temple in Shanghai with over 140 years old history from Qing Dynasty. Here you will see 2 Jade Buddhas. One Reclining Buddha with 8 ft long and one Sitting Buddha upright with over 6 ft total. With its bright crystal color, You will be filled with the blessings of harmony, generosity and kindness. From time to time, the Temple has benches and desks set up and you are allowed to practice writing prayers in Chinese using ink and Pen. An interesting activity for kids. Your itinerary is fully customizable, if you would like to visit Jewish Refugees Museum instead of Jade Temple, You can just tell your guide during the travel day. The Jewish Refugees Museum are closed on Monday.
Yu Garden (Yuyuan)
Continue your tour to Yu Garden. Visit the most famous garden in Shanghai, Yu Garden. Old China in Modern China. Admire the garden leisurely. Enjoy the personalized attention of your private guide. After the visit. stroll through Yu Yuan Bazaar. Tons of stores with all sorts of handcrafts such as silk scarfs, jade seals, pearls, paintings, candy shops...etc. Yu garden are closed on Monday. Your tour guide will bring you to the Former French Concession instead of Yu Garden. At the end of the tour your tour guide will transfer you back to your lovely hotel.

5.00We had a wonderful time on this half day personal tour. Our guide Mary was wonderful. She picked us up in our hotel lobby and was extremely personable in relating the history of the Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple and surrounding areas. She also provide great recommendations for other private areas to visit in the city. We started at the Yu Garden and worked our way through an older part of the city — including seeing the city’s first tea house — before heading into the garden. It was a nice relaxing visit and an extremely beautiful oasis in the city. The Jade Buddha Temple was very beautiful and it was interesting to learn more about the faith. Mary let us move at our own pace which was great. A great experience!

5.00This tour was great! Miss Mary arrived early and explained what we would be seeing right away. She gave us background on the city while we travelled. She is an expert photographer, telling us how to get the best angles and often taking much better photos than we could manage. She answered all our questions. And the water was appreciated as it was a very hot day. Mary is a great tour guide and clearly loves the city. Great tour!

5.00I enjoyed Very much walking on the old town having lunch with a Very amazing tour guide Mary in the 100 years old restaurant. So grateful seeing the Jade buddha and learning some cultures and a Beautiful You Garden. And Thank you so much for accommodating my last minute tour.
