Slea Head Drive
Where the Dingle Peninsula meets the Atlantic Ocean, the Slea Head Drive winds and turns along the rocky shoreline. This 30 km (18m) stretch of the well-known Wild Atlantic Way has been hailed by National Geographic as one of the world's most picturesque locations. Sit back and let our skilled drivers take you along this breathtaking journey as you discover well-known sites like Ventry Beach, ancient ringforts, and beehive huts along with breath-taking vistas of the Blaskets and Skellig Islands. Even Hollywood could not withstand Slea Head's allure. Some of Hollywood's finest epic movies, such as Ryan's Daughter, Far and Away, and Star Wars, have used this region as their setting. Fahan BeeHive Huts
One of the most curious features of the Dingle Peninsula are the Fahan Beehive Huts. These drystone corbelled Iron age huts derive their name from the unique shape of the building. The Fahan group are comprised of 19 subterrain and 18 standing clochans (beehive huts). Our guides will lead you through the inscribed stones, sculptured crosses, and earth ring forts. If you listen carefully, you might be able to hear our ancestors’ songs carried in the wind.

Our private tour with Helen exceeded every expectation we had, and honestly became one of the most meaningful experiences of our entire trip (if not our lifetime). From the moment we met her, we felt completely welcomed and cared for. Helen is incredibly kind, warm, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely heartfelt in sharing the place she calls home. The experience felt beautifully personal from start to finish. The car was spotless and comfortable, and we immediately felt relaxed and completely at ease with Helen driving. She thoughtfully tailored the day around our interests, offering options along the way and making the experience feel effortless, intimate, and special. The Peninsula is rich with history and absolutely gorgeous - without a doubt! And, what made the tour unforgettable was Helen herself. As someone whose roots in the area go back generations, she shared not only the history of the region, but also stories, relationships, and local insight that you simply could never get from a guidebook. Everywhere we went, it felt like she knew someone, had a story, or could show us a hidden gem we never would have discovered on our own. We truly felt like we were seeing the heart and soul of the area through the eyes of family. In fact, by the end of the day, it honestly felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by a beloved cousin. “Cousin Helen,” we already miss you — and we absolutely will be back. This experience left such a deep impression on us. We still find ourselves reliving moments from the day and trying to hold onto the peace, serenity, warmth, and welcoming spirit we felt while with Helen. 5.00Mossie made our experience with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons, one of our most cherished memories, not only of Ireland, but of our extensive travels throughout all of Europe. He brought history to life with his storytelling style and made an adventure out of all of our excursions for all three of our generations. His blend of his knowledge of Irish history, his personal and ancestral experiences, singing with our grandchildren and adults, as well as his moving recitation of a poem that touched us all as we viewed the majestic Dingle Peninsula, gave the highest quality experience imaginable. 5.00Mossie came highly recommended and our family of four was not disappointed. Even with not great weather, Mossie was a terrific tour guide and treated us like VIPs with all his insider knowledge. Everywhere we went, everyone knew Mossie! I was happy to not drive for a day in order to better relax and enjoy the views. Thank you, Mossie!
