Slea Head Drive
Where the Dingle Peninsula meets the Atlantic Ocean, the Slea Head Drive winds and turns along the rocky shoreline. This 30 km (18m) stretch of the well-known Wild Atlantic Way has been hailed by National Geographic as one of the world's most picturesque locations. Sit back and let our skilled drivers take you along this breathtaking journey as you discover well-known sites like Ventry Beach, ancient ringforts, and beehive huts along with breath-taking vistas of the Blaskets and Skellig Islands. Even Hollywood could not withstand Slea Head's allure. Some of Hollywood's finest epic movies, such as Ryan's Daughter, Far and Away, and Star Wars, have used this region as their setting. Use Mossie's Tours to discover the ethereal beauty.
Fahan BeeHive Huts
One of the most curious features of the Dingle Peninsula are the Fahan Beehive Huts. These drystone corbelled Iron age huts derive their name from the unique shape of the building. The Fahan group are comprised of 19 subterrain and 18 standing clochans (beehive huts). Our guides will lead you through the inscribed stones, sculptured crosses, and earth ring forts. If you listen carefully, you might be able to hear our ancestors’ songs carried in the wind.

Helen picked us up from our Inn. She was friendly, very knowledgable, and clearly enjoys providing tours. Before we got on the road, Helen asked what we had done thus far and tailored our time based on our input. One of the highlights was Conor's Pass when we scrambled up to Peddler's Lake (the "hidden lake").

We had an amazing tour of the Dingle Peninsula with Helen. We were lucky to have nice weather which made the views stand out. Helen is local and her knowledge of the region, the history and the culture combined with the Irish language made the tour very enjoyable. She was very accommodating to us and she was quick to take our picture at popular sites which we greatly appreciated. I’d highly recommend the tour.

We had an absolutely fantastic 4-hour tour of Dingle with Mossie as our driver and guide! From start to finish, he made the experience enjoyable, informative, and stress-free. Mossie is a native of Dingle, and his knowledge of the area really shines…he shared fascinating stories and history that brought the beautiful scenery to life. He was especially great with the kids, even arranging a special stop where they could feed farm animals, which was such a highlight for them. We were running late at the start, but Mossie never rushed us and made sure we still got the full experience. He also took us to hidden spots we never would have discovered on our own…true gems that made the tour unforgettable. Mossie is not only a skilled driver but also a wonderful storyteller, and his passion for Dingle makes the whole experience truly unique. If you want a fun and memorable way to explore this stunning part of Ireland, Mossie is the guide you need. Highly recommend!

We booked a driving tour with Mossie motivated by our desire to relieve the driver in our group of three of the responsibility of maneuvering those narrow local roads. We enjoyed our four hours along the Dingle Peninsula with Mossie. He picked us up from our hotel which, of course, was ideal (and, at the end, dropped us off in town per our request). Mossie is very knowledgeable about Ireland's history and, since he grew up in the Dingle area, shared about that. Best of all - we could enjoy the spectacular scenery without worrying about the driving.

Perhaps we’ve been blessed with the luck of the Irish? Give Ireland’s history, maybe not such a good thing? However, Helen and Mossie of Mossie’s Tours are the real deal, the REAL DINGLE!!! How dare we be so lucky to find Mossie’s Tours. We met at a place of Helen’s suggestion, and Mossie was personable and everything you could ask for wrapped up in Irish charm! Quick wit & a good voice to match his humor - he grew up on the Dingle Peninsula and his knowledge runs as deep as his family tree. We hopped in his van as he engaged us with his stories and wealth of information about the area. We enjoyed Connor‘s pass and the lakes created from the Ice Age. We saw beehive huts and lambs and movie sets and, MOST OF ALL, the most beautiful scenery along the Irish coast. We saw beautiful beaches with crystal clear water, Blasket Islands & sleeping giants, mountains scraping the heavens surrounded by centuries of peat, pristine lakes, waterfalls and unparalleled historical sites, all enhanced by Mossie’s grace, love and extensive knowledge about the landscape and the history both he and Dingle hold so dear. We have great memories, a few treasured pics, a new song & a nice prayer to show for our day as well as the great pleasure of making a friend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Dingle Peninsula with Mossie! He is so knowledgeable about the history and geography of the area. We could enjoy the spectacular scenery without worrying about driving along narrow roads since Mossie did the driving for us. We were delighted to learn that Mossie and my brother had a friend in common - small world! I highly recommend Mossie's Tours!

My mom, brother, and I were in Ireland for a total of 8 days and we can all agree on one thing: this tour was THE highlight of our trip. He managed to not only stun us with some of the most spectacular vistas we had ever seen, but he also had the most interesting anecdotal stories. And that’s not even including the knowledge he shared with us about the area. He had us go on a hike up the side of a mountain which is something none of us would have attempted on our own. He patiently helped us up there and at the top, recited a poem about slowing down and appreciated the moment that was EXACTLY what we needed to hear. Honestly, five stars doesn’t even do this tour justice.

This was a very memorable tour which we really enjoyed. Mossie was so friendly and knowledgeable. We started with the famine cemetery which he had helped to restore. Then we went around the Dingle peninsula. We stopped to feed sheep, donkeys, horses and pigs which was fun. We also visited a great beach. We will never forget the memories of our fabulous day with a great guide.

Helen was a wonderful guide. Her knowledge of Dingle and the region broadly added so much to our experience. Despite the dreary, windy weather, we had a fantastic time. I would recommend this family-run tour experience to anyone traveling to Dingle.
