Take a 4-hour tour in a luxurious minivan from your accommodation in Kalabaka or Kastraki. Drive with a small group and enjoy the fantastic scenery of Meteora, these extraordinary geological formations standing above the largest plain valley of Greece. See the monasteries hanging over the cliffs and listen to a full history story-telling from your specialized tour leader.

Visit 3 monasteries from the interior and see all remaining 6 on the exterior so you can admire the impressive architecture and meet some of the monks or nuns. The driver will wait for you and then take you to special spots where you can take memorable photos with a magnificent background. At the end of the tour, drive back to your accommodation or to the center of Kalabaka, if you wish to continue your day there.

We went early in the morning, and it was rainy and foggy. Not the fault of our guide of course, but made the climbing to monastery slippery. Our guide was quick to pivot to something less treacherous and gave us a personal tour of the Byzantine church in Kalabaka. It was very lovely and moving

The views are amazing! Be sure you wear proper shoes for climbing there are many steps and inclines.

We met our guide, Panos, at the train station right on time. He shared stories and the history of the place, gave us enough time for each monastery, and was very thoughtful. A great experience!

Our guide was lovely, full of knowledge, and it was lovely to watch him help one of the older ladies in our group so she didn't miss out on some beautiful view points. So lovely to have the air conditioning between some very hot stair climbs!

We booked this tour in order to visit the monasteries and learn more about their history and cultural importance. Our guide was really good and professional, she told us a lot of great information and answered all my questions. I definitely recommend the tour as both the guide and the driver were incredibly kind and professional.
The best of times visiting Meteora with guide Panos from Meteora Rocks.

We are so very glad that we booked the half day Meteora tour with Meteora Rocks. Panos was an excellent local guide who shared his knowledge of the history of not only meteora, but the geological history of the area. He took us to an wonderful traditional Greek restaurant for lunch which we would have not found on our own. We are very glad that we did not try to do this area on our own, ever though we had our own car. It was a very busy tourist day at Meteora and finding a parking spot and driving would have been extremely stressful.

It is a MustDo in Greece, very different from Athens or any islands, an amazing rock city with medieval monasteries!! For fans of Game of thrones there are multiple surprises! Our guide and driver are the most nice one and from local, They have good knowledge of everything you can ask, the history, culture and geography of this area. Definitely recommend it!

Antonio pick up, for a private tour, at our hotel in kalambaka. He gives us lot of information about the meteores and the monasteries, until he didn't go with us into the 3 monasteries, we visit. He was very pleasant and attentive.

The best way to enjoy the sites is to do a tour and we enjoyed this trip. The driver was excellent and brought cherries from his own orchard. Johanna our guide was very knowledgeable and good company. We felt very lucky to have booked with this operator and the small group made it feel special.

Stunning ! The guide was very good and friendly (like all Greeks 😊) I should have taken the two days even if it costs a little more because a hike in these places would have been exceptional.
