I booked Jerome's tour for my mother, who visited Tokyo for the first time. Communication was very easy and straightforward, the meeting place was easy to find and he even led them to the train for the return journey. Overall, the tour content was chosen just right, from general hot spots to small beautiful corners that only a local can know, everything was there. In addition, there was a lot of interesting information about the places that were visited. By the way, you learn about life in Tokyo every day! He recently shared all the photos he took and shared the tour content and information. I would recommend the tour to anyone!

We were very lucky to explore Tokyo with Jero for a whole day – and it was simply fantastic! From the very beginning, he inspired us with his personable nature and enormous background knowledge. He knows how to explain history, culture and everyday life in such an exciting and understandable way that each stop on the tour became an experience. Our journey began at Meiji Shrine, where we got an insight into the spiritual side of Japan. Afterwards we continued to colorful, shrill Harajuku: through Takeshita Street with its crazy animal cafes, to the Secret Garden Rooftop and across Cat Street, where we discovered small studios and second-hand fashion like Ragtag. In vibrant Shibuya, Jero showed us Miyashita Park, the famous Shibuya Crossroads and of course Hachiko. He then took us to Shinjuku, the dazzling red-light district of Kabukicho (including Godzilla!), Kabukicho Tower, the legendary bars of Golden Gai and the tiny alleys of Omoide Yokocho (Piss Alley) – a real contrast between modern splendour and traditional nightlife. Another highlight was the trip to Odaiba, where we drove under the Pacific Ocean. There we admired the Gundam statue, the Statue of Liberty skyline, the exciting Ramen Street in the Mall, the European-inspired restaurant area and the nostalgic Showa Station with relics from the 70s and 80s. Finally, we took the self-driving Yurikamome train and the metro to Asakusa: From the Azuma Bridge overlooking the Asahi headquarters to the Kaminarimon Gate, the traditional Nakamise-dori with around 90 Edo-era shops, the magnificent Hozomon Gate, the famous Senso-ji Temple, the Kagetsudo with its legendary Melonpan to Hoppy Street full of Izakayas and Rokku Broadway, center for Kabuki. Jero has made this tour an experience we will never forget. He knows not only the classic highlights, but also hidden corners, tells vivid stories about them and has a very pleasant, humorous manner. It was the perfect mix of culture, history, cuisine and fun. Conclusion: If you really want to experience Tokyo intensely and lively, you should definitely take a tour with Jero. Highly recommended – 5 stars are almost too few!

Jero was a fantastic guide - friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the places we visited. He shared interesting and relevant information throughout the tour, which really helped us appreciate the history and significance of each spot. With Jero’s help, we saw some truly memorable locations. My 13 yo son was especially engaged and asked lots of questions, he was genuinely interested in the stories Jero told, which says a lot. Highly recommend this tour if you want a well organised experience with someone who knows their stuff and makes it enjoyable for all ages!
