What To Expect
Mavis Grind
Travel time from Lerwick- 40 minutes Pass Mavis Grind, a narrow isthmus which joins the Northmavine Peninsula to Shetland Mainland. To your left, you'll see the Atlantic Ocean and to your right, the North Sea. It is said to be the only place in the UK where you could throw a stone from the Atlantic into the North Sea.
Hillswick
Travel time from Mavis Grind - 15 minutes We make a short comfort stop in Hillswick with time to take some photos and visit the village shop.

5.00Absolutely marvelous! We spent the day on the Northern Exposure tour of the island. Our brilliant guide, Drew, knowledgeable beyond belief , brought the land to life. Maureen our driver, was dear and navigated us along the beautiful roads. We had a lovely Fish & Chips lunch together and enjoyed ourselves so! Five Star review! Thank you Drew and Maureen!

5.00Our group of five friends had a wonderful, informative tour. We were met at the pier by our guide Jackie and driver Dave in a spotlessly clean van. Both Jackie and Dave were not only personable, but a lot of fun! Our group was blown away by how beautiful the Shetlands were. Jackie shared plenty of interesting information about the islands, as well as sharing her personal experiences from growing up here. We made a number of stops along the way, including a wonderful lunch at The St. Magnus Bay Hotel. We invited Jackie and Dave to join us for lunch and enjoyed talking to them about their homeland. All in all, our entire group agreed it was an extraordinary tour. Highly recommended!

5.00Fantastic tour of the Shetland islands! Filled with information, beautiful sites and a guide and driver (Paula and David) that were light hearted and fun! They introduced us to several locals and we thoroughly enjoyed this trip.
