Portobelo
We will visit the Black Christ of Portobelo, in the Church of San Felipe. The Black Christ is a figure full of devotion and mystery, it is a wooden statue that is believed to represent Jesus Christ with black skin. The image was found on the shores of the city's port. Its exact origin remains a historical enigma, but the legends surrounding its presence are fascinating.

4.00We're from Bolivia. The company service we took on December 29, 2025. We had Brayan from Latino Travel as our guide on this tour. We went with my husband and two other friends from Costa Rica to whom we recommended this agency. Brayan at all times was most pleasant, attentive to any need that might arise, without having to ask for it. It gave us time to enjoy the Church, the cannon sector in Portobelo, told us the story of the Black Christ, etc. At Venas Azules the weather didn’t help much right on that occasion and had the tint to take us to the final beach, giving us all more time to enjoy the water, the greenery and relax. Portobelo has a great historical wealth, although it has not been possible to visit some points because they are in rehabilitation. Blue Veins are the mangroves, ideal to relax and float a little amid the vegetation. Playa Blanca, is one of the most beautiful and safe corners of this part of the Caribbean of Panama, the sand is perfect, the water temperature is warm, many trees, an area to enjoy with family, children, friends and I saw many pets too, which is ideal if you are pet friendly. It is preferable to spend more time here.

The organization was very good from the beginning, with punctual transportation, professional guides and close attention throughout the tour. The route is very well designed: it combines spectacular nature in Blue Veins, colonial history in the ruins, and a very special cultural and spiritual component with the visit to the Black Christ of Portobelo. It is a complete experience, well used and with excellent value for money. Ideal for those who want to know the best of the Caribbean of Panama in one day. I would definitely travel with this company again and recommend it 100%. More than a tour, it was an experience that leaves a mark. I return with the feeling of having connected with the sea, the history and spirituality of Portobelo, but also with the people who made the trip possible. It is noticeable when a company works with respect for the territory and for those who visit it. This tour is not only enjoyed, it is remembered, and it is certainly one of those experiences that one recommends with the heart and not only with words.

5.00Jorge was an excellent guide who ensured we had enough time in each location while answering any questions we had. The boat operator was also friendly and took us to an additional swimming spot! The food at lunch was delicious and the clear water was great for snorkeling!

5.00We had a perfect day from pickup to drop off. Jorge was a perfect guide, showing us the sites of Portobelo, Playa blanca beach and blue veins. Portobelo has alot of history, and the old Spanish forts are fascinating.The water was a little rough leaving Portobelo, but nothing to worry about. Playa Blanca beach was great, the water was warm and calm and the fish lunch was simply delicious.
