The Bund
After 1843 Opium War, Shanghai, a peaceful fishing village, was forced to open as a trade port to world. Thus, a new chapter of Shanghai history started from Bund. The 52 magnificent buildings along Bund tell the story of the historical rise and fall of this city. Your excellent guide will explain all of the fantastic stories hidden behind of the buildings.
Old time “Cathay Hotel or Sassoon House”, was built by a Jewish tycoon, Sir Victor Sassoon. Your guide will show you around the building, featuring the gallery and the hidden museum. You can discover the tycoon’s stories with precious photos and objects.

5.00No doubt in my mind that by having a professional tour guide to show us around SH, showing us a mix of SH landmarks, with detailed explanations of how each left its mark on China, Shanghai and the world. Without Linda, our guide, we will never know so much of interesting stories of Bund buildings. While at the same time Linda exposes us to everyday life in SH by way of Old Town and the exquisite street food available all across SH.
