Daniel drove his personal van which was in poor condition. One of the sliding doors didn’t work, it was dirty and the seats were ripped. His driving scared me as he’d look over at us while talking/driving and miss something on the road. He’d jerk over or slam on his breaks when he looked back at the road. This was a private 5 hour tour. We explained we’d like to visit the Blue curaçao factory, do a little shopping, eat at a local place and stop by a grocery store. He said great and that we were headed to the beach & to see turtles. It was almost 3 hours to drive round trip to spend 15 minutes to see the turtles. This was something we’d told him we weren’t interested in. His knowledge of the island was minimal. He told us about his kids, his boat, his parents that were in visiting for 3 months, a trip he’d taken to Vietnam, & pointed out 2 goats, the hospital, a bank and a cactus. He did tell us about a favorite local dish that people ate- iguana stew. We told him we’d like to try it. He dropped us off at a local place to try it. It was sort of a food court with 6-8 stands of locals cooking. There was no iguana stew at any of them. At the beginning of the tour and at the turtles he was late, but only by a few minutes. I messaged him several times thru Viator. He didn’t respond. When I asked him both times if he’d gotten my messages, he said no he had not read them. What? He said “you should have called me”. But I explained I’d not been given his number. Communication was difficult. Finally, we asked to go the Blue curaçao factory again. It’s a very popular tourist spot. He asked me to google it and tell him how to get there. What??!! He told us there was a fee to enter, but he’d never been there. I called and got the information we needed. There was no cover fee for the tour. Overall, it was a very rough 5 hours. There were 4 of us and a couple of times we discussed getting a taxi to take us back to the ship instead of finishing with Daniel.

I loved it, on a private tour with Daniel we got to do everything we wanted to with an expert guide who showed us some of the main sites of the island without making it too long and drawn out - just what the doctor ordered after our prior ship excursion. We got to stop, pick up a drink, swim with the turtles, dive off a cliff (for those willing) and see some of the local sites. Really appreciated it.

We only had a few hours in Curacao and we wanted to make the most of it. There was no excursion that checked all of our boxes. Plus, we wanted to stay at each place as long as we wanted without being rushed. So we took a chance on this tour, and we're SO glad we did!! We saw the flamingos, swam with the turtles UP CLOSE, and snorkeled at several beaches. Daniel was the ultimate tour guide, graciously took us whereever we wanted, and gave us suggestions on better places to snorkel. He had cold water, a comfortable van, and very entertaining stories! We would 100% do this again, you won't find a better tour in Curacao! Highly recommend!!

Our guide Daniel was very friendly, knowledgeable and enjoyable to talk with! Took us to and showed us all the highlights of the island and didn’t rush through it. Dropped us off at a couple of places to snorkel and have lunch. Would definitely request him again! First time in Curacao, visiting from Canada, stayed at The Rif at Mangrove Beach.

Take this tour! Daniel is a fabulous guide. He knows all the great spots on the island and was also amenable to our desires so our day culminated in a delightful mix of both. Piskado beach has turtles you can snorkel with or stand on the pier and watch, all for free. We then went to Grote Knip beach to swim. The Blue View restaurant has spectacular views of Piskado beach below. We stopped a few times for refreshments to put in the large cooler. Unfortunately, there were no flamingos to greet that day. Then Daniel took the 4 of us to see both sides of Willemstad, with many recommendations of what to do and see during the remainder of our stay. Daniel's knowledge of the area, his generosity, and his wonderful personality made for a great day!

We spent a nice day traveling around the island with Daniel. He had good suggestions on where to go, including some nice beaches, turtles, and the rugged north side of the island. He wasn't concerned about time and made us feel very comfortable. We'd use Daniel and his company again if back on the island.

Daniel was a GREAT tour guide! The meet up location was a very easy walk from the cruise ship port. He was very knowledgable about the island and took us to some great beaches. We loved the beaches he took us to. Playa Piskado allowed us to snorkel with so many sea turtles and Playa Kenepa Grandi provided wide open swimming in stunning turquoise waters. We also saw the flamingos and he drove us through the downtown area to see all of the different building murals and the Queen Emma bridge. Oh and we also saw a roaming herd of goats while driving around, it was so cool!!! Thank you, Daniel!!

We had a great day getting away from our resort and exploring the island with Daniel's suggestions. We would not have had our favorite day of our vacation without him! He took us to beautiful beaches, was friendly and personable, and taught us about the island. Will never forget swimming in the beautiful aqua water with sea turtles!
