With a history full of difficulties, between the trafficking of indigenous people for mining in central Chile, then the activity export wood to Peru, the island's history will not cease to fascinate you, a separate culture full of religious syncretism. We will arrive at the town of Ancud and its fort, and we will visit the regional museum of Ancud. Cascadas de Tocoihue

Then we will resume our long journey back to Puerto Varas, but not before stopping at the beautiful Tocoihue Falls, about 30 minutes northwest of Dalcahue. My wife and embarked upon a 18 day tour of Chile starting in the north and ending at the southern tip. Hanu Ugarte was our designated specialist guide for the Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas and Chiloe Island segments of our Chilean adventure. My wife and I are in complete agreement that Hanu is an exceptionally talented, reliable and experienced guide who quickly gained our trust and respect from the outset and throughout our time with him. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Hanu who through his exceptional guiding services has provided us happy fond memories we will treasure forever throughout our lifetimes. We have zero hesitation in strongly recommending Hanu's guiding services to other intrepid Chile and Argentina adventure travellers.
