The guide spoke multiple languages, didn’t go too fast, had interesting facts and cracked some jokes. Overall great experience.

Such a lovely way to experience Gent! Our captain was funny and gave great information. We were in a boat with a top that could move up or close down for weather. Excellent tour!

Very nice ride with good commentary and river pilot. No issue with rain or shine due to unique roofing of boat. A must do!

Even though the tour was to be in English, the guide went thru French and Dutch and English. A bit confusing when we were no longer in front of the building.

A very nice cruise, the weather was not good but because of umbrellas on the boat it was fine. Guide told a lot, was very funny. Highly recommended

Fun experience. Great to see and hear information on the different buildings along the canal. Our guide was able to speak Dutch, English, and French. Remember to dress warm in off season.

The boat trip is very nice and worth it. But the day before I sent messages to the available Viator chat asking for the Spanish tour times and was told that any available times would work. However, when we arrived at the ship the explanation in Spanish was in writing, which is honestly not the same as what the captain of the ship says is much more spontaneous and alive. I would have been grateful if you could tell me the truth in advance, that the explanation was indeed in Spanish but in writing. I would have kept looking for another operator or gone with yours without feeling cheated.

This was a very interesting historical view of Ghent. The driver was informative and knew some entertaining aspects of the buildings.

Made a boat trip with my parents with Rederij Dewaele. The guide on the boat asked in advance who spoke English, Dutch or French. The majority spoke Dutch and/or English. He indicated that he would do the cruise in Dutch and English. Unfortunately he spoke most English and my parents who do not speak English have not been able to hear anything. Occasionally he spoke a little Dutch (Flemish) but that was also barely understandable. Too bad! We thought it sucked.

I was a bit apprehensive to go thinking it was just going to be a tourist trap, but it really surprised me. The boat driver sole in English and French and went over the history of the buildings that we floated by. Even passed out umbrellas when it stated to rain. Excellent and especially with the 10 Euro cost.
