  Amazing experience from start to finish. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of local stories that made Akaroa come alive. The wildlife sightings were excellent — we saw Hector’s dolphins and penguins close to the shore. Comfortable transport, and tasty locally sourced snacks. Highly recommend Kiwi Horizons for a stress-free day trip.

  booked the Arthur’s Pass and Castle Hills day trip with Kiwi Horizons Travel and honestly, it was the best decision of my holiday. The drive from Christchurch was comfortable, and our guide kept us entertained with stories about New Zealand’s history, culture, and wildlife. Arthur’s Pass was simply breathtaking — towering peaks, waterfalls, and even a sighting of a kea parrot. Castle Hills was equally magical, with massive limestone rock formations that made it feel like stepping into another world. The timing was perfect, we never felt rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos. Truly a highlight of my South Island journey. ---

  The landscapes were out of this world — truly the stuff of postcards. Castle Hills was my favorite stop; climbing around the rocks was so much fun. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but I wish there had been a bit more time allocated at each stop. The day felt slightly rushed toward the end. That said, the overall experience was excellent and I would still recommend Kiwi Horizons for anyone looking for a well-organized and scenic day trip from Christchurch. --
