With over 250 live music venues, Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World! Many of these venues are located outside of downtown and tucked into neighborhoods, so come explore with a true Austin local as we show you some of Austin’s best spots. Have fun jamming out to authentic live music all over the city!
Check out live music shows at 3 (three) different venues. Entry fees/cover charges included. All performances and venues are authentically Austin, but will vary in genre, size, style and neighborhood.

Throughout the course of the Live Music Crawl, you’ll hear about Austin's live music history, get the latest scoop on the current music scene and see iconic venues and new clubs, all while getting an overview of the city. Our live music tours are led by local comedians, artists, performers, and music enthusiasts. You'll ride in style a Mercedes Sprinter van. Get out of downtown and see the real Austin. The duration of this tour is roughly three hours. During that time frame, you'll visit 3 (three) different venues and be back around 11pm. This tour simply rocks! If you enjoy fun people, live music, and learning about the city of Austin, this is the tour for you. Please check in with the Austin Detours tour guide in front of the concierge desk of the Hilton Austin Hotel, located at 500 E. 4th St.

5.00I’m glad we did the Austin Live Music Crawl. Getting the inside scoop on good places to go is worth the price of admission, especially if you want to get the most out of your visit by skipping potential duds. Easy way to get out of your comfort zone a little too.

5.00Our group had never been on a music crawl and didn’t know what to expect. We all had a great time and agreed it was an interesting way to get introduced to Austin music history and experience where the locals go to listen to different genres. Early on in the evening a man, mounted on his horse, literally entered the club to listen to a live performance—weird and unforgettable! It was a good variety of music and length of the tour was great too. Jax is VERY knowledgeable and an exceptional Guide and David was very attentive and an awesome driver!

5.00Really cool tour of the iconic ACL facility. It was interesting and fun to learn about and see behind the scenes of the history of ACL. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting the Austin area.

5.00There are so many music venues in Austin, how do you choose as a first timer? You take the Live Music Crawl with David! We met at the very cool Driskell Hotel, and experienced three music genres and venues. Stop 1 we sat outside and got to listen to some blues on a beautiful evening. Next, was a true honkey tonk two steppin' our way through some country and finally ended on Congress for some fabulous R&B. David and the bus driver (sorry, can't remember his name) were so personable and knowledgable. Highly recommend this tour with them!
