Welcome to Island life - where things take time, drivers wave as they go by - or even stop for a chat.
Have a cuppa with some home-made treats before taking a walk down a country track where koalas snooze overhead or wake briefly for a feed.
Walk through the bush with your guide - through strangely shaped trees learning what makes that noise, whose tracks are those, and who left THAT little pile there? Look for small wallabies almost extinct on the mainland, a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island and a variety of other birds, plants and animals.
Break for lunch at a private bush camp and enjoy a delicious meal featuring King George whiting (local sea fish), fresh salads and fine South Australian wines.
At Seal Bay Conservation Park take a private tour among Australian sea-lions on a beautiful sandy beach. Watch pups nursing or playing in the surf, see old bulls bearing the scars of territorial disputes and learn about their unique breeding biology.

Spent two days with Shauna exploring wildlife and nature. She was full of information about what we were seeing and gave us wonderful insights into what it is like to live on a remote island with 4,500 people in an area the size of the state of Delaware in the US. Oh! Did I mention the food was fabulous?

We had a fabulous tour with Lee Berryman back at the beginning of April. Lee knew where we would be able to see koalas, kangaroos and other wildlife - up close but respectful. Watching the sea lions on the beach was amazing and Lee was so informative - we learned a great deal about this beautiful island. He spoiled us with the coffee on the beach and with a fantastic lunch in the forest. Thank you Lee - a highlight of our 5 week trip to Australia.

We spent a fabulous day touring the amazing sights on Kangaroo Island. Our driver and interpretive guide, Franck, was extremely knowledgeable and showed us some of the hidden gems on the island. In addition, he grilled a scrumptious lunch of the local whiting fish under a canopy in the forest. We couldn’t have had a better experience

Our airplane arrived three hours late but our wonderful guide Yulia didn't miss a beat. She collected us from the airport and off we went! Within a few hours we'd had a delicious picnic in a forest setting, seen koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and an echidna, and learned so much about this beautiful place.

We participated in the Flinders Chase Focus and Island Life tours on 2 consecutive days. We booked directly from Italy and all communications, regarding costs and details, were quick and comprehensive. Pick up and drop off took place directly from the Kingscote hotel and the group was 8 participants plus the guide/driver. We found the tours very well structured with adequate timing to enjoy the island's natural and wildlife beauties. Our guide turned out to be very capable and full of information. The lunch and bbq were very appreciated and created a very convivial atmosphere and a moment of acquaintance among the participants. A great experience.

Our guide Franck was exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable about everything from the animals to the history of the island. He is great company, interesting and fun to spend the day with. This really was the highlight of our trip. One of the great parts of the day was the superb lunch he prepared for us in the most out of the way place on the island. We would definitely recommend Exceptional Kangaroo Island and definitely request Franck.

Our day spent with Dave was amazing. He showed us an island we will never forget. Our visit to see the sea lions was unforgetable. Our lunch in the 'wild' was delicious. We saw everything we wanted and his knowledge of island life and history was amazing. We were very lucky to have him!
