Muralla de Toledo

Toledo has had a wall from the Romans, which had to be rebuilt by the Visigoth King Wamba in 674. The current wall is of Arab origin where we can find some Roman remains. King Alfonso VI, is granted the completion of the works of the wall in 1085, after reconquering the city. Toledo has always had a great wall, well known throughout its history, taking center stage its entrance and exit doors, such as the Puerta de Bisagra, the Puerta de Alfonso VI or the Puerta del Cambrón.

Our tour of Toledo from Madrid was fantastic. We visited the Cathedral, the Synagogue, and the Church of Santo Tomé, and our guide, Arantxa, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, fun, and engaging throughout the day. A truly memorable experience; honestly I would highly recommended!

We went on a record hot day and the guide was very careful to walk at a slow enough pace, wait for people, and most importantly steer us near shade.

Our guide was very knowledgeable. Had many fun facts and good recommendations for places to eat, grab coffee, and use the restroom. I’ve been on two tours so far, and my only recommendation is that one of the tour guides took the time to learn our names and took roll call each time we stopped and the other one did not. This was helpful because the tour guide who didn't take time to learn names and take roll call, stopped for bathrooms or tour sites but left before everyone was back or together. Due to that, there was some panic about where the group went for people at different times. Other than that, this was an amazing tour!

Arantxa was great! The tour was well-organized and punctual. Full day was just right with about 2 hours of free time to eat and shop.

Very well organized. Transport Pablo and the Guide Oscar were perfect. I recommend for a one day activity.
