We had the best day! Our guide was Simon of Tropic Tours. He was an amazingly knowledgeable man on so many topics. There was only 4 of us on the tour. First he drove us to the Daintree Rainforest. We walked into the rainforest (man, was it hot and VERY humid). We went to Mossman Gorge and a swimming hole there with beautiful water and to the Mossman River Lookout. We walked on the Rex Creek Suspension Bridge over Rex Creek. Simon took us deep into the rainforest and showed us "The Tree of Life" used as inspiration by James Cameron in the original Avatar movie. We learned about the Yiki people who are the spirits of the forest. Next we went on the Crocodile Wildlife Cruise. We went out for about an hour and saw multiple crocodiles. Then an unexpected treat was when Simon took us to a field near his home and showed us over 100 wallabies in the wild! Amazing! If you want a great tour by a very knowledgeable tour guide, book through Tropic Tours!!

Rasa with Sacred Owl Tours was a great guide. Good communication, clean vehicle, and everything went off as planned - tour for salties on the river in a covered and solar powered boat (for salt water crocodiles - saw quite a few), delicious lunch at Daintree followed by a Welcome to County with a first Nations representative, 3 km walk in the rain forest, followed by a swim at Mossman Gorge, plus a few stops on the way back to Cairns to check out the views and spy a few wallabees. Rasa was very informative along the way about local floral, fauna, and all things Australia. It was a long day, but worth the time and $. I don't typically write reviews but highly recommend this tour.

Overall the experience was great. Few comments: Rasa has a great personality and nice. We could see just one crocodile far from the boat, we expected more than that. The smoking ceremony and body painting was too short, we expected someone in an aboriginal costume but the nice guy was in formal cloths. The rainforest hiking was phenomena and priceless with precious information from Rasa. And finally swimming in the river was awesoooome and refreshing.

This was a small group tour which was lovely. Rasa was knowledgeable and attentive to the participants. We learned about the rainforest from her but also were part of a "welcome to country ceremony ". It's so interesting to me that those of Mayan descent in Mexico do a similar ceremony and the first peoples in Canada use some of the same elements in their teachings. We saw crocodiles in the wild as well as a forest dragon.

We highly recommend this excursion. It was a great day filled with experiences. The crocodile river cruise was, in our opinion, one of the absolute highlights. It was probably one of the most memorable days of our four week long holiday in Australia. Rasa was a wonderful guide.

Thank you for this experience that was worth it! A Kind Guide will accompany you through Things to do all day. His smile and pertinent observations are a great plus. Things to do and places are well chosen. I advise 100% alone or several.

You have to do this! Ancient tropical forest around in dinosaur times. Healing waters to swim in. Aboriginal guides with artefacts dating back thousands of years, and healing knowledge passed through the generations. Crocodiles for miles. Wow! And Rasa our guide so friendly and knowledgeable. What an amazing experience. You have to do this!
