  We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Very authentic residents. In May there are practically no western tourists. Culture worth seeing, Leh Palace or the various monasteries in Leh and the surrounding area (Thikse, Matho, Shey, Hemis...)

  We organised our tour to the Ladakh in the Indian Himalayan Mountains online through HolidaysAT, New Delhi. The tour was modified to suit our needs in regards to dates, length of the tour and type of accomodation we wanted to stay in. During the months before we left home, Amit Tomar of HolidaysAT corresponded by email and phone calls to keep us updated about the upcoming tour and any modifications we required. On our arrival in New Delhi Airport, Amit and his driver were waiting to take us to our overnight accommodation at the LaLit Hotel. As our flight had arrived early in the morning Amit had organised an early check in at no extra cost for us, which was greatly appreciated after our long flight from Australia. At the hotel, Amit provided us with everything we needed for the tour. The following morning, Amit and his driver arrived on time to take us to the airport for the flight to Leh. At Leh, we were met by a driver who took us to our accommodation, the Zen Ladakh Hotel. Later that day, a representative for HolidaysAT met with us to welcome us and discuss the tour. Our tour guide Stanzin Rabyang and driver Mr Nawang for the start of our 1 week tour of Leh and the Ladakh region. Stanzin was a such a good guide with a great personality and full of knowledge. The tour included overnight stays at beautiful locations in the Ladakh region, TSO Pangong Lake, TSO Moriri Lake and Hunder in the Nubra Valley. During the tour we also visited many other sites and areas such as the amazing ancient Alchi and Diskit Monasteries. We also went over the passes of the 3 highest motorable roads in the world. Khardung La Pass. Everything that Amit had organised in our tour was perfect. At the end of the tour, we arrived back in New Delhi to be met by Amit and his driver for a week in New Delhi during which we had private plans to meet up some friends. As we had 2 free days, Amit provided us 2 complimentary tours. The first day, a driver was provided to take us where ever we wanted to go, so we chose to go to do some shopping and visit the Delhi Deer Park. On the other day Amit gave us a complimentary full day tour of New Delhi and Old Delhi with a guide and driver. We visited a number modern sites, historical sites and the Spice Markets in the amazing narrow streets of Old Delhi. We greatly appreciated these extra days. On our final morning in New Delhi, Amit and his driver picked us up at the hotel and drove us to the Airport for our Flight out. We totally enjoyed everything from our first day to our last day in India. Amit was fantastic and organised everything perfectly. He went out of his way to personally ensure that we had a great time and which we did. I would highly recommend Amit and the team at HolidaysAT to anyone.
