  Laura provided one of the best tours we've ever had. She is a wonderful, courteous guide who went beyond our expectations. Laura called ahead for site guides at Rosslyn Chapel and Melrose Abbey with both gentlemen greeting us and sharing their historical knowledge. Laura also managed to fit in Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott, as the final stop. Laura is highly recommended, as she will provide a fantastic experience and has a great sense of humor (which definitely fits me and my family).

  Laura was AMAZING! She was full of knowledge of the the history of Scotland and the places we stopped. Lunch was wonderful as well. The van was spacious and comfortable. We would book again!

  We had an incredible time this January on a two-day private whisky tour of the Scottish highlands for my husband’s birthday. Our guide Gary was so friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. Despite the cold, dark weather he went out of his way to give us a personalized experience. We got to visit several distilleries and even a few beautiful coastal towns. We would highly recommend this tour for a special occasion to see Scotland and learn about its history.

  We tailored this trip and saw Sir Walter Scott’s home, Abbotsford house as well as Roselyn Chapel and Traquair house. Our guide Sandy couldn’t have been better. He was fun, informative, and made the tour very interesting. He knew a lot of the people working at the various places and so was able to collaborate with them which gave us even more insight into the places and the history of what we were seeing. There was a far more personal touch to this tour than bus tours we’d been on in the UK. Also, the van was comfortable and Sandy was an excellent driver. We’d recommend highly to anyone!

  Our Guide was Hazel, she was amazing. We did so much more than expected. With a stop above Melrose. Where were able to see the view of the valley. Then off to Sir Walter Scott’s home. My personal favorite. Great tour. Then off to a pub lunch at Traquair hotel and pub. Excellent. Then off to our next stop where the 21st Lady of the estate still resides. Our final stop was Rosiln Chapel which is another favorite of ours. It never disappoints. I’m glad I found this company. They are professional and knowledgeable.   I can't recommend Experienced Tours highly enough. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating and we were able to get off the tourist path to see the beauty of the Scottish Highlands like a local.   First class service from start to finish. Alexander tailored a tour of the Scottish Borders especially for us. Highly engaging and informative our group of 6 had a fabulous day out.
