An informative and fun class to explore Tuscany's best wine regions, their history and characteristics, soils and wines! Led by an English speaking local expert, uncork the secrets behind 4-5 different iconic Tuscan wines and discover the history and legends behind them. Learn to swirl, smell and sip your way through the different types and styles of wine, comparing aromas, body, persistence and vintages! Explore Tuscany's different soils and grape varietals through the tasting of different local wines to understand why the area has gained worldwide appreciation. The tasting of wines is enhanced by a series of different sample foods and food pairing tips will be discussed, leaving you able to make better choices when choosing from local names in the city's restaurants.
