  Highly recommend. Dinner/evening experience was great, Susan was a fantastic guide and driver. Small group, we ended up with 8 people. Visited 3 different wineries with a home cooked, forest to table meal and wine pairing at the end. Home cooked wild boar meat stew, home made Boar sausage and other dishes were fantastic. They also accommodated gluten, lactose and vegan food allergies. The grounds and ambiance at this last stop were fabulous, relaxed and friendly. They have 4 guest rooms you can stay at and do private events too. Highly recommend if you want to learn about Hungarian wines, wine making, taste lots of wines in a friendly environment. All in an afternoon, near by from Budapest, but feels like a totally different world.

  Toured several small but interesting wineries with dinner served family style at the last one. Very nice introduction to local wines. Small group. We would do it again.

  Great experience learning about local wineries. Guide very knowledgeable about wines and history of winegrowing in Hungary. Enjoyed the very local family based winery experience.

  Very interesting and informative. It was so nice to get out of Budapest and see a little of the country and hear about its history. The wine cellar and the restaurant were fabulous .

  Booking contact and guide were very accommodating-however the wine experience is limited to white wine tasting-the first Optimus was good -the lunch was average eventhough I didn’t mind the ants on the cheese-not worth the money or time-although did enjoy the other passengers

  Fantastic tour of the the beautiful wine country outside of Budapest! Our guide, Juliana, was very knowledgeable and interesting. We were lucky that there was only 4 in our group so it felt more like a private tour. Tasty wines and the meal at the end was delicious. I would highly recommend.

  I am sharing from my my travelling letter: “ Sixteen Wines and Four Americans One of the highlights of our trip was the wine tour into the countryside. We were picked up by Susan, who served as both driver and guide. At the next stop, the remaining participants joined us: four Americans. They were perfectly pleasant company and, at the same time, lived up to every stereotype we had, with enthusiastic exclamations of “Wow!” and “Fantastic!” whenever Susan talked about the wines, the landscape, or Hungarian history. We visited three different wineries and sampled a total of sixteen wines from small local producers. That may sound a bit excessive, but fortunately the glasses were not very large. Even so, it was easy to notice that the mood in the group rose in step with the number of tastings. At the final winery, we were served a hearty venison stew with Hungarian pasta. That was probably a wise decision on the part of the tour operator. And not least, City & Wine Tours drove us all the way back to our hotel afterwards.   Perfect afternoon/early evening activity, led by a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Small group, wine tasting, and a pleasant dinner at the end at a vineyard’s family home.
