I joined Under Down Under for their Famous 5 Tasmania tour at the end of January. This tour was so well done! From the transportation, to the accommodations, to the hikes and the points of attraction that we visited, I was thoroughly impressed! Our tour guide, Joe, was wonderful. He had the hard job of driving a group of adults from different countries around and keeping them engaged and on a timetable, being radio DJ, leader, and educator all at the same time—and he did it all without breaking a sweat! I appreciated him for always making sure we were prepared for the day, providing different options for the hikes and food, and for the knowledge he shared about the landscape and the various places we visited throughout Tasmania. His enthusiasm for the place shone through and positively impacted our experience as a group. I’d highly recommend others to book this tour if they’re looking for a well-organized way to hit the highlights of Tasmania with just a handful of days to spare. Tassie is stunning and such a unique slice of Australia!

I went on the 5 day trip Jan 27 to Jan 31 2026 with guide Joe Taylor. I can highly recommend this trip. Joe is an expert and passionate guide, who drove and narrated the trip flawlessly. He taught the group a lot of interesting details about the history, geology, conservation, flora and fauna of this beautiful state. I couldn't have seen half as much if I had taken twice the time on my own. Very good value for money. Too many highlights to mention - check out the itinerary. Joe added some great bonus stops as well. I was also lucky to join a really fun, positive and energetic group. Some really great hikes. My tip: with 3 hours in Freycinet Park, hike to the Wineglass Bay lookout and down to the beautiful beach - not difficult 2 hour return hike, which gives you one hour at the beach for a swim in the crystal clear water etc.

I did a few days of this tour 6 years ago and vowed I would come back and finally managed it.I reccomended it to a friend last year and he loved it too. It was a great experience with a really good and super friendly guide/driver. I have arthritis now and allowances were made for me. Overall 10 out of 10 it was so good to explore this beautiful island. I researched to do a similar tour in Australia but could not find anything at this price point

A wonderful 5-day Tasmania Under Down Under tour. I only wish we’d had a bit more time at each location, but given the 5-day timeframe it’s understandable that we were on the go. Our guide Will was easy-going, knowledgeable, and full of great local insights. A real highlight was the Australia Day BBQ Will organised — a special group-bonding moment that made the tour even more memorable.

This trip was above our expectations. Our guide, Tomi did a great job making sure we saw as much of Tasmania as we could. It was a great mix of time with the group as well as free time. We were very pleased with our trip . We got a great chance to see all of Tasmania!

Pure nature experiences of beaches, hikes, encounters with padiemelons, Wumbat, Wallaby, Echidna, Platypus, Kakadoos, Parods and many seagulls. Much knowledge about indigenous people, fauna, flora and controlled bushfire. And all this with young, exciting people in the group.

I booked onto this tour through another provider, Ultimate Travel. I had the most wonderful week exploring the stunning Tasmania. My group were all of a similar age, and I’ve formed many great friendships from the people I met on the tour. The tour was very well organised, and covered the length and breath of the island showing off the many highlights. The tour was made special by our wonderful tour guide, known by all as ‘Wombat’. He had an encyclopaedic knowledge of his homeland, spanning history, geography, geology, flora and fauna. If I’d have done this trip on my own, I wouldn’t have gleaned 5% of the insight I learnt while on the tour. I can’t recommend Tasmania, and this tour, enough.

Just a wonderful experience! I have taken several small group tours and this was among the very best. Our guide, Keygan, had an encyclopedic knowledge of Tasmania. He delivered it to us with an ironic Tazzie sense of humor. Unlike many five day, four night tours that are really three days of touring, this one had five fully packed days starting usually at 7 a.m. and lasting until dinner. The days included plenty of rest stops and a range of hiking with the longest (and best) about 6 km. The availability of a range of accommodations was a big plus. Each day, there was a supermarket stop allowing us to purchase our own picnic lunches and, if we wanted, dinners. There were also enough restaurant choices for those of us who didn’t want to cook. There is so much to Tasmania, but I felt this tour was the right amount of time to get a great taste of all that it offers. We saw plenty of animals in their natural habitats. Also, unlike many, many small group tours, this one had none of the shopping stops that are often uninteresting and designed to earn the guide commissions. Dealing with this company was also a pleasure. Keygan is a star and you’d be lucky to get him as your guide.
