I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed Switzerland and Como with Chris. It started out as he was simply our tour guide and by the end of spending almost two weeks with us, we felt like he was our friend. He is knowledgeable, kind and obliging. He was patient with our repetitive questions and comments. Thanks to Chris, we got into the nooks and crannies of this beautiful country that we would never have found by ourselves. He was an excellent driver and negotiated the twist, turns, and switch backs that are so inherent to Switzerland. There's no way that we could have done this by ourselves! We entertained ourselves with stories of past travels and foibles! Chris has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to. He was a major enhancement to our very happy and successful vacation in Switzerland.

We had the absolute best experience with Chris of Typically Swiss Tours! He planned and executed a truly special 5 days in the Lucerne area, filling our trip with adventure, chocolate, cheese, wine, swimming, Swiss army knife making, and unforgettable memories. Traveling with 3 young boys isn’t always easy, but Chris was incredibly patient, kind, and wonderfully tolerant of their energy. What really set him apart was his attention to detail and his ability to go above and beyond. He surprised us with not one but two baseball experiences in Switzerland (who knew baseball was even here?!), just because he picked up on a small mention of how much our kids love the sport. These extra outings made our days longer than planned, but Chris took it all in stride with humor and enthusiasm, making the boys feel extra special. His sense of humor, flexibility, and excellent communication made everything smooth and enjoyable. If you’re considering private touring in Switzerland, look no further—Chris is simply the best. A truly 5-star guide!

Chris Wilson, TST was the BEST tour guide ever...Chris helped with our pre-planning, as well as was available during our week in Switzerland. We were with him, 3 of 6 days. Although the weather didn't cooperate, he was helpful in planning activities for our free days. He tailored our days with him to our ability, ensuring we had a terrific Switzerland experience. Not only is Chris a terrific tour guide, he's an excellent photographer, ensuring great pictures. He knew every spot for amazing pictures.

Chris was funny, engaging and a wealth of knowledge!! I really enjoyed the time we spent with him touring Switzerland. He added in small things that you would never know to check out unless you are a local and those ended up being my favorite moments. You will laugh, learn about the local culture and history, and be romanced by the beauty of Switzerland. Chris made it easy for us as we gave him our "must see" locations and he helped us plan out our day and added to it leaving us exhausted but enriched from a full day of touring! It made the trip all the more enjoyable as we did not have the added stress of planning out how to get to places or when to leave. If you are on the fence about booking him, just do it! You will not regret it for your next vacation!

Excellent, excellent, excellent from start to finish. Chris is a spectacular guide who goes above and beyond for everyone in the van to ensure a stellar experience. We did far more than expected or would have been possible if left to our own devices. This relieved so much stress and allowed us to focus on the happy parts of travel. To be sure, Chris is an investment, but he returns that investment by making certain you get maximum return every day. We were able to enjoy the beautiful scenic drives of the country because we didn't have to think about driving or navigation. Chris also provided many "value add" or unexpected experiences which sometimes included free or complementary tickets for entry to activities. He also worked his vast network of contacts to indulge us with unique experiences, such as having a contact with the Lindt World of Chocolate meet us at the big chocolate fountain to enlighten us about the history of chocolate, or arranging a personal tour of the Grandhotel Giessbach for another member of our party with a special interest in hotels. I can't thank Chris enough for his outstanding work in making my dream trip to Switzerland everything I'd hoped for (even when the weather was generally not cooperative, we still got puffy clouds and a little bit of blue sky almost every day!) If you are traveling to Switzerland, make the investment in using Typically Swiss Tours with Chris. I'm so very glad we did.

COVID delayed our touring with Chris of TST for two years. But the wait was so worth it! After two cancellations, years of planning (and many, many emails that Chris always answered promptly), the result was five memorable days in gorgeous Switzerland for our party of 6. We did walking tours of Zurich and Lucerne, experienced the rush of Rheinfall, reveled in highlights of the enchanting Bernese Oberland and journeyed to the top of Mt. Titlis, plus so much more. Chris took us everywhere we wanted to go, as well as to a few lovely places we didn’t know we needed to see! Meeting Chris in person finally was like getting together with an old friend. He’s engaging, funny and we had a great time with him. We’ll remember so many wonderful moments in Switzerland. And we’ll never forget the guy who made them possible (and who made sure we had lots of group pictures to preserve them)! I highly recommend Chris for anyone in need of a private tour guide in Switzerland. He is the most patient and responsive guide I've ever worked with, and he went out of his way to make sure we all had a special time. Big thanks and kudos, Chris!

Wow! Chris was great from picking us up in Zurich all the way to dropping us off in Basel 5 days later! He worked with us to customize the trip to include a canyon swing and hang gliding along with a lot of the recommended sites to visit he lists on his website. We even stayed in his Airbnb!! Chris was totally flexible with the needs of the 4 of us, 2 couples, with sleep ins when needed, milk, croissants and eggs at our doorstep and shuttling from late night dinners. He is completely accommodating!! I would recommend Chris and TST to anyone looking to experience Switzerland!! I think we have found a friend for life and look forward to seeing him and Bianca again!!

Chris has organized amazing trip around central Switerland for our VIP family of 5. He paid attention to every detail and was extremely helpful. Without him, planning this trip could be very problematic. He also made a surprise for girls' birthdays offering them customized chocolate. He is also very knowledgeable and kind person. Highly recommended!
