Norris Geyser Basin
Norris Geyser Basin, named after an early Yellowstone Superintendent, may be the hottest geyser basin in Yellowstone. The stark, barren landscape of Porcelain Basin is the result of the acidic environment. Due to the hostile condition plants, algae and bacteria have difficulty in establishing themselves. Instead, the basin derives its colors from mineral oxides, in spectrums of pink, red, orange (iron oxides) and yellow (sulfur and iron sulfates). The largest geyser in the world is located here. Steamboat Geyser has long periods of dormancy, but when it does erupt it sends jets of water nearly 380 feet high in a spectacular display.
Upper Falls
Located a quarter mile upstream of the larger Lower Falls, the Upper Yellowstone River Falls plunge 109 feet down an eroded lava cliff into the basin below. The area below the falls has been subject to heavier erosion than above.
Artist Point
Artist Point is one of the most spectacular scenic areas in the Canyon Area of the Park. The sheer walls drop 700 feet to the bottom of the canyon. Upriver the powerful Lower Falls are still in view. Downriver the canyon widens and deepens to a maximum of 1,540 feet. The canyon walls are predominantly yellow but colors of blue, red, orange and brown are also present. The colors are ever changing and especially intensified after a rain with bright sunshine.
Yellowstone Geysers - Mud Volcano Area
The Mud Volcano blew itself apart in the early 20th century, but visitors can still see the impressive crater and other geothermal features in the surrounding area, such as the Mud Cauldron, Black Dragon's Caldron, and Dragon's Mouth Spring.

Fountain Paint Pot
Fountain Paint Pot The Fountain Paint Pot is named for the reds, yellows and browns of the mud in this area. The differing colors are derived from oxidation states of the iron in the mud. As with all hot springs, the heat in the caldera forces pressurized water up through the ground, which is expelled here. Also, rising gases cause the bubbling action. The bubble action in the mud varies with the seasons.
Old Faithful
Old Faithful Geyser Old Faithful is a cone geyser in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park. It is one of the park's most well-known natural features and is famous for its predictability. It generally erupts every 91 minutes.
Yellowstone Bear World
Yellowstone Bear World No vacation to Yellowstone National Park or Grand Teton National Park region is complete without an adventure into the wild at Yellowstone Bear World, a drive-thru wildlife park. Wildlife you will see includes Rocky Mountain Elk, Bison, White-tail Deer, Mule Deer, Rocky Mountain Goats, Moose, and of course American Black Bear and Grizzly Bear.
Great Salt Lake
Great Salt Lake Great Salt Lake, lake in northern Utah, U.S., the largest inland body of salt water in the Western Hemisphere and one of the most saline inland bodies of water in the world. The lake is fed by the Bear, Weber, and Jordan rivers and has no outlet. The lake has fluctuated greatly in size, depending on the rates of evaporation and the flow of the rivers that feed it. Like the Dead Sea, the Great Salt Lake exists within an arid environment and has chemical characteristics like that of the oceans. However, it has a much greater salinity than the oceans, since natural evaporation exceeds the supply of water from the rivers feeding the lake.

I have to give credit to this tour for providing us with decent lodging. I've been on another tour that the hotels were subpar, to put it lightly. If you do book this tour though, be prepared to pay additional $377 for service fee, park admission fee, etc, which I don't remember seeing on the website. Another miscommunication is the departure time from the airport. It says choose one after 8pm. I booked my outgoing flight for 8:30. I learned that that's too early so I had to cut my tour short and pay for Uber to take me to the airport. Either that or finish the tour and miss my flight. Overall, the tour was OK. More time spent on the road than actual sightseeing. I'm happy I finally visited Yellowstone.

Hi . I recently booked a tour through Viator for my first trip in the USA, and while there were some positive aspects, overall, the experience was disappointing for several reasons: 1. **Language Barrier**: The tour guide, Harry, was informative and friendly, but he mainly spoke in Chinese. Commentary was often given for 10 minutes in Chinese and only 1-2 minutes in English. This left non-Chinese speakers, including myself, feeling like we were receiving incomplete information. 2. **Travel vs. Sightseeing**: The driver, Lesley, was highly professional and drove with great care. However, the majority of the 5-day tour was spent on the bus. We had very limited time at sightseeing stops, such as Horseshoe Bend, where we were only given an hour or less. More time at these locations would have significantly enhanced the experience. 3. **Food Options**: The bus predominantly stopped at places offering Chinese cuisine or junk food. As an Indian vegetarian, I struggled to find suitable food options and had to rely on McDonald's French fries for nearly three days out of five. This was very uncomfortable and disappointing. In summary, I am disappointed that Viator placed us on a non-English tour without prior notice. While the guide had good qualities, he could have been more empathetic towards non-Chinese speakers’ needs . I hope Viator can take these points into consideration to improve the experience for future travelers. Sincerely
