This amazing adventure takes us to Bwindi ‘The Impenetrable Forest’ in Uganda’s mountainous far southwestern tip where you will have the opportunity to track Mountain Gorillas. The tour gives you an opportunity to get out of the bubble of vehicle and walk with local guide as you explore the countryside through our fairtrade activity that support the youth in this south western Ugandan community. You will be able to interact with the people and sleep in an eco-lodge with superb views of the Bwindi Forest, the Virunga Volcanoes and the Albertine rift valley, the stunning landscape that stays in your memory forever.

What To Expect
Kisoro
AeroLink Flight to Kisoro, hike and canoe across Lake Mutanda You then “settle” in a dugout canoe for 2-3 hours of gentle relaxed cruising across the lake, enjoying the beautiful landscape. After lunch at a restaurant on the lake shores, continuation on foot till Rubuguri (9km – 2/3 hours) where you meet up the vehicle and drive for another 10 km up to the Lodge in Nkuringo (approx 1 hour). Of course you can also be picked up by the vehicle at the lake and drive all the way up to the Lodge.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, at around 7:45 am, with packed lunch and drinking water you will be transfer to the National Park Head Quarters for the briefing on the dos and the don’ts while with the gorillas. You then continue to the forest for the start of the actual gorilla tracking.

5.00We spent a week being guided by Remmy across both Uganda and Rwanda to do a gorilla habituation experience in Uganda and a ‘normal’ gorilla experience in Rwanda (both of which are very worth it). We’re fortunate enough to travel a lot - Remmy was genuinely one of the best guides we’ve ever encoutered: knowledgeable, caring, fun, calm. I’d hightly recommend you stay at Nkuringo Lodge in Bwindi, and ask for Remmy to guide you around - we had a fantastic time!

5.00We had the most incredible 5-day trip with Nkuringo Safaris to Bwindi National Park to see the gorillas: truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Everything was flawlessly organized from start to finish. We felt fully supported and well taken care of at all times. Our driver Patrick was the best: safe, knowledgeable, and always friendly. The stay at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge was beautiful, with excellent service and delicious food. A special thanks to Moreen for her stellar organization and outstanding customer service. She made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Nkuringo Safaris for anyone wanting an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure in Uganda!

I found Nkuringo safaris after doing a ton of research online, and the gorilla trekking was something my mom and I had been elated to add as the end of our trip after a week long safari in Tanzania (with a different provider). From first contact to last dropoff, the one word I would use to describe our time with Nkkuringo Safaris in Uganda was *SEAMLESS*. As someone who works a lot around project management, I can appreciate the systems and behind the scenes that must happen here to coordinate all the details while still making the experience personable and memorable. The communication was excellent all around, and our driver Oscar Frank was the consumate professional who made sure we were well attended to at every turn. Would highly recommend this tour provider and both mom and I had the adventure of a lifetime.

Attentive to every detail, top level personalized to ensure you’re comfortable, safe, that any unforeseen events are resolved (like luggage arriving late, losing money, needing extra help during tracking ). Took care of everything since I arrived at the airport till I checked in at the end. Hotels were extra comfortable and instagrammable! Emma, my guide, made sure I had enough water, food, the right attire… more than I did! He even gave me a history lesson when I asked, and we talked music and discussed human nature. We laughed maybe too much. Excellent road trip partner. 100% recommended

Moreen helped create a perfect itinerary, she was quick to respond and communicated everything clearly, and helped us when our flight was delayed so that we wouldn’t miss a minute of our trip. We also had the pleasure of working with Milton who was fantastic! He made us feel safe and informed throughout our whole trip, we all wished he could have been traveling with us throughout our entire trip! The gorilla experience was so magical, the hotel, the staff, and the experience was ten out of ten! I would highly recommend anyone to book this tour for a once in a lifetime experience! 5.00After Murchison falls we were taken by Patrick Yiga to Bwindi impenetrable forest. That man has a continual smile even though he did some very long drives. The Gorillas were amazing and Nkuringo Bwindi gorilla lodge was just wonderful. Again all the staff were so helpful especially Diana our house maid, Wesley our Waiter, the lovely Suzanne, Musa. Thank you Patrick an Wesley for taking us to the top of the world, you made us feel on top of the world
