  Overall 4/5 (would have been 3.5/5 but house brought it back up). Was a very good trip, but please be warned, this is basically travel and accommodation only, you end up paying for activities separately, not a problem but it would be nice to be prepared. Our driver was very careful and cautious at first which was appreciated on those windy roads, although I would say towards the end of the trip some of his overtaking was questionable. We had a bit of a communication issue with the driver, although asked asked for English speaking we did have issues, but luckily my father in-law spoke a little Hindi so we got by, just. Breakdown Day 1 Hotel pickup was on time and although a long drive it was very comfortable and stopped on the way to break down the journey and stretch our legs. Stopped for a jeep safari at an additional cost of 4000 rupees as only way to get to see waterfalls and dams mentioned due to the road, would be nice to know of these costs in advance. On the plus side the price was per jeep and not per person and could comfortably hold 6 people. Hotel stay at Lake N Hill, which was very pleasant, although a basic hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, stayed here for 2 nights Day 2 Spent the day around Munnar visiting various places like the Tea Museum and factory, Chocolate factory and garden centre all at additional costs. Very nice to see and cheap to get in, but still should be told of extra costs. Day 3 Drive to Thekkady was pleasant enough, took around 2 hours 15 mins with a quick stop at statue of Ganesh. Was not overly impressed with the visit to the Wildlife reserve which I was really looking forward to, as was not told in advance to purchase tickets and then had to get them on the day and wait until the last boat of the day at 15:30. Again not told of costs, non nationals was 530 rupees to get into the park by bus and then you have to queue to try and get a boat ticket for an additional 255 rupees. Can't book online on the same day, never about the money, would just like to be informed of all this as spent a whole day on a hours boat trip when we could have been going more activities rather than just waiting around, Book your tickets in advance all. Hotel was Spice Grove and very nice and had a bar which was a bonus 😄. Ended up eating at the hotel which was very nice with a great selection, break was again lovely and the room and. Bathroom excellent 👌🏽. Day 4 Drive to Alappuzha for the house boat, this took over 4 hours which we expected and had a quick stop on the way, as well as a stop to get some beers and soft drinks as these were not included. Once at the house boat, we had lunch straight away and if was lovely, way too much food though, then we set on our way and wow, just wow, just a scenic trip and so relaxing for about 4 hours. Moored up and ate again on the boat and wow to the food again, just fantastic. Spent the evening chilling and slept well. What a fantastic experience 10/10. Day 5 Off to Fort Kochi today for the last day of our trip, was 90 minutes drive. Got dropped at the Mattencherry palace and from there walked through Jewish town and the synagogue, very pleasant. From there we drove to the Chinese fishing nets and walked to Santa Cruz cathedral and St Francis church. Then we ended out trip about 3pm and were dropped off at our hotel. In summary, a very good trip, but the itinerary should be made a lot clearer and the driver should not be portrayed as a tour guide.

  Excellent trip with a very profient driver Jamon. We were recommended the jeep trek on the way to Munnar , great fun and saw waterfalls, dams and views. Accomation always good and food and comfort break stops good. The tea factory and rose gardens trips were good on the first full day. The second full day drive to Thekkady was beautiful National Park great fun be aware of monies before getting on the boat We saw elephants, otters, bison and Samba deer, all good and accomation again very good. Drive down the mountains to Alleppey backwaters very lovely. Boat cruise was a highlight. Excellent driver, chef, views of lakes and waterways, lots of birds including very beautiful kingfishers. The day was relaxing and the food fantastic. Slept well Back to Kochi on the last day we had seen the sights so our driver took us to the Folklore museum full of Kerals artifacts We enjoyed our tour of the hills and lakes.

  I did the Marari, houseboat , Munnar, Thekkady tour with IRIS holidays. We had a wonderful time . The itinerary was well planned and the hotels were excellent. Our driver Shijo was very knowledgeable , suggested the right activities . He was very cooperative and was very sensitive to all our needs. Very safe driving too. Overall it was a wonderful trip.

  Big thank you to Arun Dev, for planning and guiding us through the trip package. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of a life time in Kerela, it’s a beautiful place of the world, our amazing friendly caring driver Lalan was very accommodating he has so much wealth of experience and knowledge he shown us so much of the place and followed the schedule, he is a wonderful human being. Thank you once again for everything the Hotels were just amazing too, food was absolutely yummy, all staff were just fantastic. We would highly recommend to book Kerala trip with IRIS holidays as they went out of there way to accommodate everything.

  An absolutely fabulous time. First time in India and looking to come back for more. This tour included tours of Kochi, Mannar and Thekkady. All beautiful and something for everyone. Also included a houseboat overnight cruise that was unbearable. There were only 4 of us on the boat and the staff were top-notch. Last, but absolutely not least, our driver and guide Shijo was nothing less than excellent, he catered to al of our needs and genuinely cared for us throughout the trip. Highly recommend him as it will only enhance your experience.

  A truly memorable experience across Kerala. Excellent activities including a houseboat cruise and tours of Kochi, Munnar and Thekkedy. I credibly worth booking. Our guide and driver was Shijo, absolutely fabulous. He took great care of us and genuinely cared about us and our experience. Top ratings for Shijo!!

  We did the 5 days 4 nights Kochi Munnar Alleppey trip. Entire trip was organised by Akshay from Irish holidays. Hassle free bookings, fast response, everything was communicated effectively and any change/request accommodated for swiftly. Thanks to Niyas (our driver) who was very helpful all along.   A great tour with Anthony in the driver seat, he certainly could navigate the roads in good time. Good pick up and drive up to the mountains. Anthony recommended the jeep trek, which was great fun. First hotel nice in the hills below Munnar. Staff were welcoming and helpful. second day followed the itinerary, enjoyed the tea meuseum and Rose Garden.Niice lunch at place recommended. Day three, lovely am drive to Thekkedy, followed by a boat cruise and saw elephants, otters, bison and Samba deer, watch bags near ticket office as monkeys are very bold and determined . Another nice hotel with the best shower. Day four, early start, interesting drive to Alleppey Backwater. Cruise was excellent! Relaxing and food was fabulous. Back to Kochi.
