We a family of 4 members had 4 days 5 nights tour in Paro and Thimphu including Punakha from 12/04/2026 to 16/04/2026. Our tour guide Sonam and the driver Jimmy are fantastic who welcome us at Paro International airport. We will blessed on arrival with the Bhutan Sash Beige colour by our guide. This is Bhutan traditional of welcoming guest to the country. The first impression we had is the pristine clean air and clear sky with a temperature of approx. 12 degree C. The daily sustainable and environment tax of USD100.00 is really worth it although is pretty high. Everywhere places we visited you are not deny of the clean fresh air and cool climate during the month of April. The cities we visited covering Thimphu, Punakha and Paro are clean and not much traffic. The drivers are patience and stopped at zebra crossing to allow people to cross safely as per our experience. We cannot find any traffic lights in the cities we visited other than the traffic wardens directing the traffic. One must see how the renown dancing traffic warden in Thimphu. We have visited so many Buddhist temples and fortress namely called Dzong in Bhutanese such as National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, Chimi Lhakhang Fertility Temple), Statue of Buddha, Tashichho Dzong, Punakha Dzong, Dochu la Pass with 108 Stupas, Paro Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, Taktsang Dzong better known as Tiger Nest (takes around trip climb of 5 to 6 hours (could be longer depending how many stops) from the bottom at 2,600m to the highest point of 3,120m approx. 8km of around 2,000 to 3,000 steps. The final steep climb to the monastery of over 700 steps to reach the top. The view along the climb is breathtaking. There are 5 temples that you can visit. Be fit to have this climb. We visited Punakha Suspension Bridge stretch 800 meters across the river., the oldest Tibetan iron bridge, Tamchog Lhakhang Bridge and many others interesting locations. One of the highlight in Paro is the hot stone bath at the farm house recommended a must try while in Bhutan. The hotels we stay at Thimphu and Paro are well equipped with modern facilities with heater in the room in lieu of the cold nights with temperature falls below 5 degree C. Breakfast and dinner serves in the hotel at Thimphu is Ala Carte pre-order night before and dinner is also Ala Carte pre-order the morning before leaving for visits. Breakfast and dinner in Paro serves buffet style. Lunch are organised outside by the tour company. Meals are generally cooked in Bhutanese style normally 3 or 4 vegetable with one meat dishes. One must try Bhutanese famous Chili cheese cooked with either green or dried red chili, Tibetan noodles, momos steam and fried versions, local organic vegetable, such as broccoli, wild or farmed asparagus, mushrooms, fiddleheads ferns etc. Not forgetting must have the Bhutanese Suja (savory butter tea) . Our guide was great and able to order food that we have requested on the must tried food in Bhutanese culture such as momos, chili cheese, Tibetan noodles, brown trough fish, red rice, chogoo, buckwheat noodles, Kewa Datshi and many more. Local produce to buy, choogoo (dried yak cheese), cordyceps, mushroom tea, chili powder, red rice. Overall, our trip was great, enjoyable, interesting and fun. Our guide is very knowledgeable of the various temples and Dzong visited explaining the historical and details of each. Both the guide and driver are very helpful making the tour pleasant. We give them both thumbs up and bravo for their effort from the moment arriving and leaving Bhutan. We will recommend them to anyone visiting Bhutan.

My experience with Heavenly Bhutan Travels was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, Anita made the planning process incredibly smooth. She was patient, attentive, and always available to answer my questions. She accommodated every request I had and ensured the itinerary reflected exactly the kind of cultural experience I was hoping for. Once in Bhutan, my guide Anil truly brought the country to life. His deep knowledge of Bhutan’s history, traditions, and way of life added so much richness to the trip. He went above and beyond to make every moment memorable—whether it was explaining the significance of a monastery, helping me navigate local customs, or making sure I tried different types of Bhutanese cuisine every single day. His passion for his country shines through in everything he does. Our driver, Damber, was equally impressive. Professional, punctual, and incredibly skilled, he made every journey feel safe and comfortable. He was always right on schedule and ensured we reached each destination smoothly. Overall, I highly recommend Heavenly Bhutan Travels. Their team made my trip meaningful, immersive, and truly unforgettable. If you want to experience the cultural heart of Bhutan, this is the company to trust.

Our Bhutan trip with Heavenly Bhutan was nothing short of exceptional. Everything was meticulously planned, and from the moment we landed in Paro, the entire journey felt seamless and stress-free. A special mention to our wonderful guide, Suraj Rai, who was incredibly sweet, courteous, and knowledgeable. He truly went above and beyond at every step, constantly checking on us, guiding us through the best cafés and spots, and even accompanying us throughout the Tiger’s Nest hike. His insights into Buddhism and Bhutanese culture added so much depth to our experience. And, not to forget, he is an amazing photographer. Thanks to him, we have thousands of beautiful memories captured forever. Our driver, Phub Dorji, was equally fantastic—calm, professional, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the trip. The itinerary was perfectly curated. We stayed at Terma Linca in Thimphu, Dhensa in Paro, Gangtey Tent Resort in Phobjikha, and Dawa at Hilltop, each offering a unique and memorable experience. Every check-in, transfer, and activity was handled flawlessly. A special highlight was when our guide and driver arranged traditional Bhutanese attire for us in Punakha on request, along with a beautiful riverside lunch organized by the company—it truly felt like the cherry on top. This was our first anniversary trip, and Heavenly Bhutan made it incredibly special. Honestly, we could not have asked for a better experience. We have fallen in love with Bhutan and will cherish this trip forever.

I chose Heavenly Bhutan for my first solo trip to Bhutan. Being a solo female traveller I was skeptical about safety issues, but Miss Anita from Heavenly Bhutan took care of all the arrangements right from the hotels to flight tickets. Upon request I was assigned a female guide, Miss LM Ghalle. She was the best guide one could ask for. She accompanied me throughout my trip and ensured that I was comfortable the entire time. I learned so much from her about Bhutanese culture and monuments. Mr. Kumar Rai drove us everywhere and made the travel super easy. If you are ever traveling to Bhutan, choose Heavenly Bhutan without any doubt. They'll make your trip memorable.
