It is home to the 2nd largest pristine reef in the world, almost unlimited underwater visibility, warm seas, great culinary delights, a slow and easy way of life, and friendly people. It is located below the hurricane belt for added safety and peace of mind. We offer smaller scuba diving groups specializing in guided, personalized scuba diving, eco-travel, and scuba instruction.

For certified divers, West Bay Divers in Roatan can offer you your very own personal diving leader, or your personal PADI scuba instructor in your continuing scuba diving education. West Bay Divers offers PADI certified recreational scuba diving courses ranging from Scuba Diver to Master Diver.

This was some of the best diving I have done in a long while. It had been a few years since I had dove last, the refresher was quick, easy, and informative. It rained a couple days there, but diving was still immaculate. Staff, especially Abner, was very friendly and accommodating. Barney was great at communicating and coordinating when weather was iffy and if there would be diving that day. The dive sites were beautiful and will forever be a wonderful memory. Mary's place was a one of a kind location! The shop is right next to the beach and easily accessible by walking on the beach or a short drive if staying in West Bay. Renting equipment was a breeze and made the experience very care-free. If you intend on diving for multiple days, they write your name on a locker that you can lock belongings in and have your gear below. I highly recommend this dive shop. The staff, dives, and experience is surely one to remember for many many years. Abner was the best dive instructor; he had such a keen eye for locating animals like sea horses and nudibranchs! We saw like 5 seahorses in one dive! Abner also found the tiniest brittle stars, banded coral shrimp, hawksbill turtle, moray eels, channel clinging crab, neck crab, yellowline arrow crab, caribbean spiny lobsters, long spine urchins, spotted drums, silversides, cowfish, many trumpet fish, many different colored parrot fish, porcupine fish, needle fish, large grey angelfish and even a scorpion fish! There are so many dive locations around the island, but the ease of just walking from the shop, onto the beach, into one of their boats and a short 2-10 minute boat ride to some of the clearest water and best reefs, is tough to beat. If diving on the south side of the island, it can be about a 30 minute van ride but same thing when on the boat, the dive locations are short boat trips. I will definitely be returning and diving here again!

Seahorses and Lionfish🤘 West Bay Divers continue to provide a phenomenal experience. One on one dive with Mekayla with the hopes of dominating some lionfish!!! We both got the chance to kill some and then we got to see Jerry the seahorse calling our name to come say HI😍 Perfect dive day😎 Mekayla and the whole staff provide such hospitality and safety that i'll never go anywhere else💙 Everything from the details and overview of each dive to the amount of awareness of the reef and its abundance of sea life. This is dive 50 with them and i can't wait for the 50🌴 Thx Mekayla and Barny😘

We had an amazing week with West Bay Divers! The service was amazing from everyone, and especially from our Dive Master Takeshi. We were well taken care of from start to finish. Beyond diving, the three of us (my wife and daughter) did a night dive, a shark dive, and took the PADI Enriched Air course as we dove. The diving was amazing, and the bioluminescence we saw on the night dive was bucket list material. I can't say enough about how well we were taken care of, and I would give the whole group a 5 star plus rating!
A fantastic five day adventure.

Takechi our dive guide for a five day scuba experience was the best five day trip we have taken… the company was first class. The boats were the best there and all the employees did the very best to insure we were made to feel at home. A place and company we will definitely return to.

This dive shop is truly a “top shelf” operation, 10/10! Everyone on staff was very accommodating and kind. The staff took care all dive equipment maintenance (preparation, loading, changing tanks between divers, and recording the dive information for log books)… all we had to do was enjoy the dive! Arturo was our guide for all 5 dives (including one night dive). He knew all the best dive sites to go to and helped us to see so much marine life, including octopus, a huge green turtle, and a couple of rays. Arturo was also great on getting everyone home safely, while being an excellent photographer/videographer. I cannot rate this dice shop high enough! If you’re contemplating diving in Roatan, you must use West Bay Divers!

Excellent company top notch service everyone is super friendly very knowledgeable and glad to help with anything. I did 8 dives with Mekala including a night dive. All of the diving was fantastic great visibility calm and warm water Mekala was great and she knew all of the best spots. I would highly recommend her and west bay diving for a great experience

Fantastic week of diving with West Bay. In particular Gaby was absolutely amazing and was so glad to stick w her all week. She was great at spotting macro life as well as rays. The best dive spots. All the boat drivers were safe, kind and clearly experienced. Never left waiting on the surface. The gear I brought was so well taken care of. Come to West Bay and ask for Gaby!

West Bay Dive Shop was so pleasant to deal with, very helpful in everything. Barney was super understanding when we had to cancel and still helpful in rebooking. My husband and I went diving with Artero 2 dives and Tekeshi 4. They were both super patient and awesome to dive with. Mekela was helpful with information about diving. Anthony was a very helpful captain, helped everyone get there gear on and in the water, with a good attitude! Hassle free place to dive!

West Bay spoils you with amazing service. They put everything on the boat for you for every dive and have everything set up for the dive. All you need to fo is jump in and breathe. They always asked what kind of dive we wanted to do that day. We ended up doing three afternoon dives after doing some morning dives and loved them. Each time there were only four of us diving and we spent 50-60 min down. We saw turtles, spotted rays, huge moray eels, lobsters, crabs, groupers, and all sorts of reef fish. The coral is very pretty. I do believe there were a lot more fish years ago and I hope they stop the over fishing in the area. I would highly recommend diving with this company.

This was my first time diving in Roatan and West Bay Divers made it a great experience. From the beginning when I was trying to get information, the general manager Wayne responded quickly and answered everything for me. Upon arrival we met Barny who who made check in super easy. The instructor/guides that I dove with Gaby, Sean and Julietta were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and great representatives of the operation. They took care of everything. The boats were fast, clean and comfortable. Boat captains Anthony and Alex were helpful and attentive. Diving was great. Most of the trips to the sites were less than 10 minute rides giving us plenty of time underwater and enough time to enjoy everything else Roatan has to offer. I will definitely return and am looking forward to diving with West Bay Divers again. Thank you for a great week.
