  Went on the Jeep Tour with Tom yesterday. We got to see the white sand dunes, red sand dunes, the fishing village and the fairy stream. Tom is a great tour guide with lots of funny jokes and humour.

  Tim picked me up at a hotel across from where I was staying. The jeep had no A/C, and I was the lucky one because I was solo. I got to sit up front. Stopped at the fishing village, but not really. We just were on the side of the road looking out on the water at all the fishing boats. Fairy Stream first stop was very different, and the softness of the sand on your feet as you walk upstream is just lovely. There were several areas of deep holes that I stumbled over, but all was OK. Did not appreciate the guy with a snake wanting you to take a picture with for $50,000vnd so unnecessary have no idea why he was even there as it has nothing to do with the stream. On the return, I decided to walk up over the red sand, which was a great idea as you then miss the crazy section of rocks and deep holes. The next stop was white sand dunes. Had no idea we were to go on an ATV. However, they make you pay $ 600,000 to drive one. You do NOT need to pay this as you can just sit on the back while a driver takes you. I wish they had told me this was an option. Very windy up top. You could pay $50,000vnd to slide down the dunes, but I had done this a long time ago in Australia, so I didn't want to do it today. Spent about 20 minutes just standing around, and then an ATV takes you to another section near a body of water for another 20 minutes. Here, I sat down as it was not windy. The ATV takes you back to where you started. Now, onto the red sanddunes to watch the sunset. This was just lovely. Then was driven back to hotel.

  It was a pleasant few hours but our driver provided no information/ history about the sights. He suggested putting on radio, so I think he didn't have to speak with us. When we arrived at the sand dunes it sounded compulsory to spend money on a quad bike which I thought was optional. We were told we would see nothing unless we paid out an extra £17 per person to see the sand dunes. We opted for a jeep paying £8.50 per person but we wasn't expecting to pay on top of the viator trip money. To be honest we should have got a private cab and would have had the same experience. We were also cut very short of the tour time well over 1 hour too!! I commented no sunset and comment was ignored . Save your money and arranged yourself!

  Thom is a great guy. Took his time explaining and spoke excellent English. The quads at the sand dunes are a little pricy compared to the rest of the tour and Vietnam in general. Over all a really nice trip. Would recommend taking the earliest departure because of the heat.

  Tom Didn’t Just Show Us Mui Ne - He Made Us Fall in Love With Vietnam!” Where do I even begin? Our small group of five took this sunrise Jeep tour expecting beautiful scenery, and yes, the Red and White Sand Dunes were absolutely stunning. But what we DIDN’T expect was Tom - a guide so genuinely exceptional that he transformed what could have been a simple sightseeing trip into the absolute highlight of our entire Vietnam adventure! From the moment Tom greeted us with his warm smile and infectious energy at 4:30 AM (yes, we were all groggy!), we knew we were in incredible hands. His enthusiasm was contagious, and within minutes, our small group went from sleepy strangers to excited explorers, all thanks to his welcoming and familiar presence.
