The Plaza de la Constitución, informally known as El Zócalo, is the main square of Mexico City. Together with the surrounding streets, it occupies an almost rectangular surface of approximately 46 800 m² (195 m x 240 m). It was named in honor of the Constitution of Cadiz promulgated in 1812. This is the second largest square in the world and the first among the Spanish-speaking countries. 1 The Zócalo is located in the heart of the area known as the Historic Center of Mexico City, in the Cuauhtémoc delegation. Its location was chosen by the Spanish conquistadors to be established in an area close to what was previously the political and religious center of Mexico-Tenochtitlan, capital of the Mexicas.
Museo Nacional de Antropologia
The National Museum of Anthropology (MNA) is one of the most important museum sites in Mexico and the Americas, designed to house and exhibit the archaeological legacy of the peoples of Mesoamerica, as well as to account for the country's current ethnic diversity. The current building of the MNA was built between 1963 and 1964 in the Bosque de Chapultepec by instruction of President Adolfo López Mateos, who inaugurated it on September 17, 1964.

5.00This tour is a must do! You see all of the highlights of downtown México City and the Anthropologie Museum. The tour lasts four hours, but I could have stayed another 2 hours in the museum if we had time. Our guide Jorge was a master historian. I thought he must be a professor. We learned so much from him and highly recommend him and his driver Arturo.

5.00This was an amazing tour and we got a great deal of education and detail on Mexican history and culture. We walked through much of the centro historico then drove to the wonderful and vast archaeology museum. Veronica was a great guide!
A flawed premise reasonably executed

3.00Jorge (Guide) and Antonio (Driver) did a decent job with the premise of the tour. The way it is designed though just doesn’t make a ton of sense. You are essentially spending 1/3 of the trip to drive to and from the Centro Historico (or in reverse to the Anthropology museum) then do an almost literal sprint through both places to even see the highlights. There’s no time to go into anything really in the Centro (you do 5 minutes in the cathedral). I would suggest booking a separate tour for anthropology and one for the Centro jf you want to see both.

5.00Guide Marta and driver Luis were both excellent. Marta has a deep knowledge of the city and the places we visited. For example, the Anthropology Museum would have been very hard to navigate (it’s a lot!) and understand without Marta. Marta was also just an excellent conversation partner in general. Luis was a hero in traffic. I loved this tour and felt bad for my family who were all not feeling well that day so they missed this experience but I was very happy to go.

5.00Jorge, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable which was essential when visiting the Anthropology Museum. I simply cannot imagine going through without his expert commentary. Our driver Antonio, was on time and was able to maneuver the massive traffic in Mexico City. I highly recommend this tour!
