Visit to Gobi desert with Nomadic Hospitality of Mongolia was one of our best trips my husband I have taken. I have been to 99 countries and I have to say this one is in my top 10 trips. Iggy was our travel guide who has lived in Mongolia his whole life and was able to give us the history of the country . Mongolia is rich in its natural beauty and culture. The scenes are so different in different parts of Gobi. While you see Flaming Cliffs and Sand dunes in South Gobi, you see beautiful painted deserts what they call white stupa in middle Gobi. It was an incredible experience and Iggy and his driver Paagii made it so comfortable for us. The Gers that we were provided was very comfortable and was a unique experience as well. Iggy made sure we had vegetarian food. In Ulaanbattar Iggy’s assistant Khulan took us everywhere and she was a joy to be with. I recommend this trip to everyone who is interested in traveling.

This trip exceeded every expectation! Iggy is so knowledgeable on Mongolian history and nomadic culture and is very experienced with guiding tours in the area. It is obvious that he put a lot of thought and care into the itinerary. I am so happy we decided to do this trip with a guide rather than on our own, not sure we would’ve gotten around without Iggy and his driver. There is a lot of time spent driving, it’s the only way to get to Gobi. The views and experience are worth every minute though, and Iggy did a good job of breaking up the drive with bathroom/food/scenic breaks. Just make sure you bring stuff to do in the car!

We enjoyed a fantastic private tour around the Gobi Desert. Iggy was a terrific guide--informative, entertaining, and he spoke easily understandable fluent English. When weather interrupted some of our plans he nimbly adjusted and found alternative transport for us. We especially enjoyed the monastery at Kharkorin and hiking through the Yolyn Am valley where we saw ibex and buzzards. We also stopped and visited a nomad family, which was extremely memorable. I would strongly recommend traveling with Iggy and Nomadic Hospitality Mongolia.
