Tadrart is a very shocking desert landscape, pristine and wild. Every attraction is a Hollywood blockbuster. Together with the moments of ancient Africans and rock murals, Tadrart is even more mysterious and attractive. The starry sky is brilliant, the sunrise and sunset are unparalleled, and the photos are like postcards. This is an unforgettable travel experience. Tadrart will be new landmark of Travel in the world.

My wife and I did a 6 day trip of the Tadrart Rouge organised with Wassim from AlgieraTours16 in March 2023 - we had a fantastic time, everything was very smoothly arranged. Wassim was extremely reactive to messages and information on WhatsApp. We communicated largely or maybe entirely in English. The trip organisation was very clear, and travelling to / from Djanet was easy with the tickets he purchased for us and with the people who met us at the airport in Djanet. Or 6 night/6 day tour of the Tadrart Rouge was also incredible, really a trip of a lifetime. We had 5 nights camping in the deep desert with just the two of us plus the guide, driver, and cook, and then 1 night in Djanet itself before our flight back to Algiers at 4am. The guide spoke English, French, Arabic, and Touareg, and the driver and cook spoke French, Arabic, and Touareg. We speak English, French, and Arabic so we did not have to make any special language requests, but I believe there are a guides who speak a wide variety of different languages besides the just the "norm" of English and French - definitely Italian and Spanish. We already started the visa process before Algeria suddenly changed its policy to giving visas on arrival for the south in January 2023, but I think now it would be even easier to do this tour, since Wassim would be able to take care of ALL the arrangements for travel, whereas we had to go to the embassy to get a visa & etc. Some day we hope to go back and do the rest of the Tassili Plateau -- it's a big area, and 6 days doesn't cover it all!

Wassim from Algeria Tours 16 was helpful at every step in the way, from helping us secure the visas and answering our every question to arranging the desert tour. Having been to three deserts before coming to Djanet, the bar was set quite high for me, but the tour we had was hands down the best desert adventure I’ve had and easily one of the best you will ever find. The scenery was amazing, but what made it truly special was the company of our Touareg guides, who let us in on their life and culture. Above all, we appreciated the evenings around the fire underneath the starry sky, the wealth of wisdom and kindness we shared, and their friendship which we will never forget. À la prochaine inshallah!

Perfect organization with modern means and well-trained staff. The visit to Algiers was great with a guide who speaks excellent Italian. Nothing to object to. We visited Orane but frankly you can avoid having 2/3 days more better opt for Gardhaia, especially now that you no longer need a visa for Algeria. Also great tour in the desert. 7 days is a good time to get an idea... The landscapes are spectacular and that believes that the sand is then boring and always the same I will have to change my mind, I was among these many years ago. The desert experience leaves an indelible mark on you. The two people (women) who had the most doubts about 7 days in the desert were the ones who appreciated the most. The really commendable organization and in particular the cook worked miracles. The only observation perhaps for the stools and low tables. More comfortable a folding table at normal height. The archaeological sites are truly spectacular even for those of us who are not fasting. Overall excellent organization of Wassim whose prices are fixed.... I don't know. Maybe for the best. It's the second trip for me with a group of 14 people.... Some initial worries but then everything went for the best. Excellent season the second half of November. Cool morning and evening but a tack during the day. Travel to repeat once again hoping you can do Djanet Tamanrasset....

The Sahara is a dream anyway with its infinity, silence, incredible night sky and the diversity of the landscape that is constantly changing. Algeriatours16 organized this great, we had 3 excellent companions - chef Mohamed (at least 2 stars ;-)), driver Mahlouv (very confident, never got stuck!) and guide Sisou (very competent, experienced, full of knowledge, but also curious about us, a great conversation partner who is actually a musician and has already toured Europe with his Toureg band several times). Our personal highlight was bathing in the Gueltas! We thought if it was smart with the water quality, but it was wonderful and we had no negative consequences (neither rash nor crocodiles;-)). Anytime again!

A true hidden gem on this planet, my partner and I had an amazing time in Djanet with Algeria Tours. Everything was organized from the moment we landed until the day we left. Tent gear, food, transportation, and of course living out in the desert with the local Tuareg people. Highly recommend!

If you've been to the tourist desert in Egypt or Tunisia, you haven't been to the Sahara. I didn't have much expectation, and there were a lot of doubts about planning the trip. Well, what to expect from the desert - except for mountains of sand of different shapes. Oh, I was wrong. Tassil Najer is something incredible. That can't be put into words. I can't remember the last time I cried from being so beautiful in front of my eyes. There I cried. We spent six days in the desert and it was different all the time. The warmth of the Tuareg people accompanying us is amazing. And it's not clear what was better - wandering through the desert, climbing up and down the dunes, looking at intricate or uncomplicated rock paintings, or sitting in the evening with fine food and Tuareg tea with foam from small piles. Did you know you can bake a biscuit on a fire with a cake mould and a bowl? If you want to try it, then you'll go to Janet and from there to the desert. Thank you Wassy and Thank you Algeriatours16 for the wonderful organization.

This was an absolute adventure! It could not have gone better. Thank you Wassim for your endless patience and for making a custom-made itinerary for us. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We had 4 wonderful days packed with stunning views, constantly changing from giant rocks to infinite sands, with prehistoric paintings, with great stories, amazing company, music and great food. Foodies like me would be delighted to try yummy couscous and bread baked in the sand! Sahara is so much more we used to see in the books, pictures or travel guides.. it's scenery is ever-changing and full of life, jaw-dropping and beautiful. We only saw a tiny bit of it and we cannot wait to go back. Huge thanks for Mahlouf and the gang for taking such a good care of us - I'll miss the evening riddles!! If you're looking for peace, be alone with your thoughts, disconnect from the world, hear incredible stories while sipping tea by the fire.. book this tour. Go for an adventure! And you can thank me later. Make sure you have extra space for photos.. sunsets are amazing, as is the Weeping Cow engraving, as are the canyons, rocks and sand dunes.. miss it all already!!
