One of the most precious and expensive spices in the world, saffron is predominantly grown in Kashmir in India and the Kashmiri variety is considered to be of the best quality. Believed to have been brought to India by the Persian rulers around 500.B.C, the conquerors planted saffron corms into the local soil after taking over Kashmir. Local folklore, however, refutes this theory and according to traditional Kashmiri legends, saffron was introduced to the region during the 11th and 12th centuries A.D by two Sufi ascetics. The locals believe that Khawja Masood wali and Sheikh Sharif-u-din wali, upon falling sick, requested a cure for their illness from a local tribal chieftain. They repaid his kindness by gifting him a saffron crocus bulb and this charming story is heartily accepted throughout the lovely vale of Kashmir. The ascetics have a golden-domed shrine dedicated to them in the saffron trading town of Pampore and even today, in late autumn.
Awantipora
The Avantiswami Temple is an ancient ruined Hindu temple located on the banks of the Jhelum River, 28 km away from Srinagar in Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It's ruins once consisted of two temples dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu, and were built under king Avantivarman of the Utpala dynasty in the 9th century CE. The site is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. Locals call the temple Pandav Lari, meaning "house of the Pandavas.

Baisaran Hills, also popularly known as the 'Mini Switzerland' accepted from its great, dull hilltops which are also found in Switzerland. Baisaran hill is a beautiful land which is only 5 kilometers away from the popular town Pahalgam.

Betab Valley
Betaab valley, originally called as Hajan Valley or Hagan Valley, is situated at a distance of 15 km (9.3 mi) from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district in India's union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab (1983).[1] The Valley is towards northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwadi and is en route Amarnath Temple Yatra. The valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountains and covered with dense vegetation.
Aru Valley
Aru is a village, tourist spot in the Anantnag District of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It lies 53km from Anantnag city, the district headquarter. It is located around 12 km from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River. Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier, Tarsar Lake, Marsar and Herbaghwan Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river.Jammu & Kashmir’s biggest Fodder Seed Product Station is also located in the Aru village.
Chandanwari
Pahalgam is associated with the annual pilgrimage to the shrine Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari, located 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from Pahalgam. The town is the starting point of the yatra that takes place every year in the months of July–August, receiving hundreds of thousands of tourists. Because of its religious significance and role as a base camp, the town attracts 70% of visitors to the valley. This flood of tourists overwhelms some of the local infrastructure, especially waste management in the town.

The two-stage gondola lift ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Apharwat Peak (4,260 m (13,976 ft)). The ropeway project is a joint venture of the Jammu and Kashmir government and French firm Pomagalski. The first stage transfers from the Gulmarg resort at 2,650 m (8,694 ft) to Kongdoori Station in the bowl-shaped Kongdori valley. The second stage of the ropeway, which has 36 cabins and 18 towers, takes skiers to a height of 3,980 m (13,058 ft) on Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 m (13,780 ft)). The First Phase ticket is 900 Indian rupee per person and the second phase ticket is 1200 Indian rupee.
Rani Temple
The Maharani temple also known as Mohineshwar Shivalalaya and was built by the wife of the erstwhile ruler of Jammu and Kashmir in 1915. It is the royal temple of the erstwhile Dogra kings of Jammu & Kashmir and this shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Thajiwas Glacier Sonamarg
The glacier is a perfect spot for trekking as well as camping. One gets to experience the beauty of the glacier by trekking all the way there from Sonamarg. There is also the option of hiring a pony to get to the glacier. It remains covered in snow throughout the year.
Zoji La Pass
Zero point is about 35 km away from Sonmarg. You can reach this place by taking local taxi from the Sommarg. It's a beautiful place and you can really enjoy the snow even in summers. The view is absolutely amazing.

5.00Booked the Premium Family package tour from 24th April to 30th April 2026 with Chinar Holidays. Was booked for the trip last year but had to postpone it due to security reasons. Chinar Holidays gave a credit note for the advance paid. Must say that from arrival till departure the experience was wholly wonderful. Visited parks in Srinagar, Valleys in Pahalgam, glacier in Gulmarg and Meadows in Doothpathri. We were a family of 5 in a SUV, with the guide Ali (Do not want to call him a Driver). He drove us to all places of interest and guided us well throughout. His recommendation of restaurants for lunch was amazing. With good conversations during long drives, he made the journey enjoyable. But for Mr. Ali, I do not think, we would have had the same experience. I feel that people like Ali make Chinar Holidays a great Tour Company. I am sure there are several others at the back end who made our trip memorable. Hats off to them too. Feedback, on a daily basis was sought, to make sure that we were enjoying the trip without any hassles. (Very Positive trait). The hotels selected were all excellent and met all expectations of space, bed, cleanliness and food. Must mention Hermitage in Pahalgam and Hotel Lupin in Gulmarg- were beyond expectation. Kashmir undoubtedly is a beautiful place but is best enjoyed when all arrangements are superb. Chinar Holidays delivered what they promised. Had nothing to regret till the end - including drop off to the airport.

5.00It was my 1st trip to Srinagar. Price Comparison: First I went through big holiday companies and found big holiday sites too expensive; Chinar Holiday's Kashmir offered similar package at half the rate. Experience: Initial doubts were there as I never heard about them but confidence grew slowly and I booked the package. Arrangements: Excellent efforts, smooth arrangements, and 24x7 support. One instance I would like to share that during the Shikar Ride I have given only 1 Hour instead of 2 hours as per the itinerary. Some miscommunications were there but it was immediately resolved by Zulfi at 9 pm. Means full support during travel anytime. Overall Impression: Package quality and service won my heart. Recommendation: Highly recommend Chinar Holiday's Kashmir for hassle-free vacations. Gratitude: Thanks to Chinar Holiday's and Team for a wonderful trip

5.00Today is my last day of my family trip to kashmir. The tour operator Chinar Holidays Kashmir made this trip to me and my family to have ever lasting wonderful memories. Ms. Nida was our tour organiser... she organised all our days of travel very well.. she is highly helpful and assisting in all our needs in this trip. Because of her me and my family enjoyed the trip to full and departing kashmir with wonderful experiences and memories. 4.00We travelled to Kashmir from 24th to 31st December 2025. There were 14 family members travelling during that period. We visited Sonmarg, Gulgmarg and Sri Nagar. We stayed in the boat house on Dal Lake, Took the Gondola at Gulgmarg to the top. The view was fantastic. Our English-speaking tour guide Ajas (from Shang Loong travels) was very good. He was very helpful and understood our requirement since my 86-year mom was travelling with us. Wheelchair was arranged accordingly. The accommodation and transport were good. The hotel and meals were good. Would recommend travelling to Kashmir during winter.

5.00Booked my trip with Chinar Holidays Kashmir to Srinagar during New year. Every other travel agency said I shouldn't go this time as all hotels were booked but Chinar Holidays and tram, helped us in getting booked and we were able to do everything as per our itinerary. The hotels were nice and spacious and food was also good. The best part was the driver. Travelling with family, that is no.1 concern for us but he was very friendly and had many years of experience on those roads. All in all, a very good experience
Chinar Holidays Kashmir is the best decision we made for our trip.

We wanted to travel our way without having to travel under a fixed tour group's itinerary. We are pleased to say that we made the right choice in picking Chinar Holidays Kashmir as we fully trust the quality of their services and they quote reasonable prices without any hidden fees. Chinar Holidays Kashmir also provides very clean vehicles, knowledgeable tour guides, and experienced drivers (skilled at overcoming any terrain).Our driver for the entire tour was Mr. Aijaz Ji who was AMAZING! He was able to maneuver through traffic and the sharp turns on the cliffs effortlessly. All in all, with Chinar Holidays Kashmir you can spend as much time as you like in a place as per Your schedule or skip/add destinations as need be. 5.00I had travelled to Delhi and Kashmir . the tour operator had properly arranged the trip. the driver was a safe driver and was also polite in nature. the travel car was having adequate space offered as the car was Swift Dzire.Hotel in Srinagar was too good in rooms and in other amenities, hotel named as Grand Kaiser.the hotel in Pahalgam namely Hermitage was also very good. Thank you Chinar and team for this awesome trip.
