You should know this trip is just a driver who gives information as you are driven around and dropped off in different places to walk around on your own. The driver does not get out of the car and walk with you. We booked a similar tour a few days ago in Bangkok and for that one we got a driver and a tour guide who was with us the entire time, so we were surprised when this one was just a driver who gave good, indepth information. This tour’s title is “6 hour guided tour” so we did think we would have a guide with us for 6 hours. If we stayed in the car the whole time we would have, but few people would do that on this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and was a good driver who was willing to take us wherever we wanted to go. I just want others to know what they are getting.

SHORT SYNOPSIS: 5 STAR Amazing Experience. Our Tour Guide (Ken) and our Driver (Thomas) were fantastic. Ask for them by name. You won't regret it. Punctual, professional, extremely knowledgeable about Singapore, kind, courteous and very accommodating. Flexible itinerary designed around our interests, all stops were optional and customized to our preferences and available time. We came by Cruise Ship (Viking Venus) and were picked up and dropped off at the Singapore Cruise Terminal. We booked two 6 Hour Tours (8 & 9 Nov 25). Reasonably priced. The sites we visited were spit among the 2 days in order to maximize our time in Singapore. Remarkable 40th Wedding Anniversary experience. LONG SYNOPSIS: Amazing time in Singapore!! Definitely worth the money. This tour was totally customized to what we wanted to see and for how long we wanted to visit each site. Wish we had more time to explore but with the time we had, we saw a lot. In 2 days, we went to: — Chinatown. We followed the journey of the early Chinese immigrants to Singapore. We visited the Thian Hock Keng Temple where thanks were given to the God of the Sea for safe arrival. We visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. This place of worship is a repository of Buddhist wisdom and relics and is home to an artifact of religious reverence, Maxwell Hawker Centre (We went to the stall where Gordan Ramsey battled the owner over Chicken Rice. Anthony Bourdain also visited this location. Took pictures), saw the site of the long-gone opium dens, coolie accommodations and death houses. (more like hospice in the USA) — Gardens by the Bay (Super Trees and Cloud Forest (Jurassic Park Exhibit). Amazing Exhibits. Did not go to the Flower Dome. — Little India. We explored the colorful gold, spice and fabric markets. I bought a scarf. — Marina Bay (Pass By) — Helix Bridge (Pass By) — St Andrew’s Cathedral, Oldest western religious building (1836) (Pass By) — City Hall (1926), national monument, bears witness to Singapore’s Colonial past and the Japanese occupation, leading up to its independence. (Pass By) — National Gallery Singapore (Pass By) Art museum — Merlion Park — Marina Bay Sands Skypark Observation Deck (Amazing views) — Raffles Hotel (Stopped and took picture). No Singapore Sling (we don't drink) — Thian Hock Keng Temple (Palace of Heavenly Happiness), the oldest temple in Singapore, also known as the Tianfu Temple, a national monument (1973) temple, built for the worship of Mazu, a Chinese Sea Goddess. It is the oldest and most important temple of the Hokies people in the country. — Tiong Bahru Estate (Pass By). Art Deco buildings and are one of Singapore’s oldest housing estates. — Mustafa Centre (Pass By). A unique 24-hour market style shopping experience in Singapore. — Haji Lane (Pass By). Authentic shops specializing in Arabian trades. — Kampong Gleam, Former home of the Malay royalty and we learned how they sold Singapore to the British. We saw the Sultan’s Mosque. Very impressive. It is the focal point for Singapore’s Muslim community. — The Pinnacle @ Duxton. 50-story residential development in Singapore’s center. It features the world’s two longest sky gardens of 1,600 ft each on both the 26th and 50th floors. — Mount Faber Cable Car Round Trip Sky Pass. Gondola lift providing an aerial link from Mount Faber on Singapore Island to the resort island of Sentosa across the Keppel Harbour. Lovely way to end our visit to Singapore. Thank you Ken and Thomas for the amazing experience.

Driver was lazy. Often didn't get out of the car to open doors or move seats. Mini bus had seen better days back seat moved and rocked and felt unstable. Didn't have courtesy water on hand. Didn't know agreed itinerary. Didn't seem to know times for activities booked. Always waiting for him to pick us up. Didn't get to do a good part of the agreed itinerary we had paid for. HE RUINED OUR LIMITED TIME IN SINGAPORE

A great way to see Singapore with someone who has lived here a long time. Kent really knew the town and was a delight to travel with. Wife loves history and culture, men enjoyed the seedier parts of town, but it added up to a wonderful day of sightseeing.
