Russell was our guide. He is funny and truly knows his stuffs. Definitely a must do if you are on a cruise and wants to see a bit of culture and nature. We saw the traditional Maori dance, visited the active geothermal, mudpool, kiwi conservatory, a quick drop in at Redwood Forest and kiwi orchard.

Great trip with guide Nicolle. Well worth seeing and learning about Mount Maunganui and the never-ending beach with rolling waves. Picturesque. Great to stop off to see and learn about kiwi fruit plantations en route. Le Puia bubbling mud and geyser area wonderful to see (not high activity whilst present, but still very worthwhile) and great Mauri performance. So glad we did this tour and would highly recommend.

A fabulous trip. Russell was full of so much information. We stopped along the way for photo opportunities. The geothermal pools and geysers were the highlight. Seeing the conservation centre for the kiwi birds was so special. Stopping on the way back to walk through the redwood forest then a kiwi farm. All in all it was a great day. I would highly recommend Wicked wanders
