It's a full-day thing. Just a small group of 11 in a comfy van. Our driver and guide, Tracey (Loyddy), was super friendly, knew a ton, and gave us lots of info as we passed cool spots on the way to Rotorua.

Highly recommend this small group tour! Our guide, Nicole, was exceptional! She is a is a wealth of information on all things about New Zealand, and in particular the Tauranga, Mt. Maunganui, & Rotorua areas. Her passionate & thoughtful commentary while driving us around was extremely interesting & entertaining. And she answered everyone's questions willingly & thoroughly. The 3-hour stop at Te Puia Hot Springs was equally interesting & educational. From the Maori Welcome Ceremony, to the Arts & Crafts center, the geysers & the mud pits we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. And the stop at the Redwood forest on the way back to town was a serene way to end the day. You can't go wrong booking this tour!

Hot thermal pools and guysers were an eye opening experience. As was the Maori songs and dances. Our tour guide Nicolle was very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. She had us back to the ship in plenty of time for our 5.15pm departure curfew. Excellent small group excursion 👍👍

This tour with Russell covers everything you would want to see in the area. The van is very clean and comfortable. Russell is a wealth of information and very organized. We never felt rushed and were still able to watch the surfers, visit a volcano formed lake, tour the geothermal features and cultural and artistic exhibits at the Maori Te Puia center, walk a bit of the redwood forest and enjoy a snack at a kiwi orchard. I highly recommend this tour for all ages.

Our guide ( think it was Nicolle, sorry) was so lovely and helpful with my mobility limitations . Enjoyed seeing Kiwi fruits thriving here again , enjoyed the Redwood Forest . Te Puia thermal reserve is fabulous, for its geyser and thermal activity . Maybe a little too long for our group spent looking at a carving workshop, but this is a reflection on our Māori guide not wicked wanders . He seemed a bit stressed and at one point stomped off down by the geysers leaving our group to find our own way back . Having said that this was a wonderful tour , that got us back to our ship in plenty of time .

Not well thought out, guide at show was not very professional. We went to see the geyser and he was determined to show us wood carvings in details, details and details

Our Guide Niccoles was a JOY! Went above and beyond to make it the best! I’m sure I’ve spelled her name incorrectly, but, she has to be your best employee so you know who I mean. The tour from start to finish was A++ Thanks for a perfect day 🤗

Great experience visiting the geothermal mud pools and hot springs. The Māori ceremony was fantastic. The performers had excellent voices and the Haka and dances and songs were great. Also got to see some live kiwis in a low light exhibit. Also visited kiwi orchard and the Māori craft school.
