Overall, a good experience. The entertainment was good but the Haka presentation was very short and disappointing. The geyser was very cool and liked seeing the Kiwi birds.

Our pickup was from the cruise port and very convenient. The van was older and crowded. The driver was knowledgeable during the drive and informative. The tour was well led by locals and everything explained. You are given lots of time to look at mud pools, geysers, and the Māori culture performance was great.

Russell was the best guide we ever had! He was at the pick up point with the names of his guests displayed and greeted us immediately. He was a very good driver and local historian. He knows his tours and handles everything. He is actually still helping us out with helping us out replacing some souvenirs we purchased during his tour and misplaced. This man will win the Viatour award in 2025. (If there is such a thing) We have used Viatours quite often around the globe and Russell ranks among the best in our opinion.

This tour was truly amazing! I gained a profound appreciation for Māori culture, and the highlights were many: the magical geysers, the unforgettable sight of kiwi birds, and the breathtaking Redwood forest. The brief stop at a kiwi plantation was also a valuable addition. A special thank you to our knowledgeable and engaging guide, Russel, who made the experience even more exceptional.

Our driver was great. The sights she took us to were lovely. Te Puia village was a great experience to learn about the Maoris. It was wonderful to see the 3 kiwi birds and the bubbling mud and geysers too.
