What To Expect
Thingvellir
In 930 the Icelandic Parliament, the first democracy in the world, was established at Thingvellir. Thingvellir became a World Heritage Site in 2004. We walk to Öxarárfoss waterfall.
Geysir
The geyser Geysir itself erupts boiling water up to 70 meters, but is almost inactive. Strokkur, only few meters apart from Geyser, erupts on average every 4 minutes.

5.00Helga’s tour with Traveling Iceland was an absolute joy. She is a very knowledgeable geologist who loves sharing her love of her country and its amazing landscape, history and geographical features. Her tour was interesting and diverse. She is very responsive to any customer needs and will go way above and beyond to insure the travelers have a good time. She accommodates any individual needs and tailors the experience to traveler abilities. I can’t say enough about how fun and wonderful this was!
Helga was so knowledgeable and happy to share her beautiful country with us. She chose many popular sights to show us.

5.00Touring Iceland is definitely a class act.Well researched and routed. Not only did we see all the spectacular sights there are to see in the south island, but a taste of culture, geology, history, myths and legends and expertise that would be difficult to rival anywhere. Dr Helga and Sigru’n were nothing short of spectacular and entertaining! I couldn’t have picked better tour guides to fulfill my trip of a lifetime with. Every single experience and opportunity to explore was just better than the next! This was a 5 star curation and experience. Thank you!

5.00We had a lovely time visiting Iceland. As we didn’t hire a car Helga’s customised tours ensured that we managed to see all of Iceland sights including going beyond the itinerary to take us to the beautiful Diamond beach. We started as customers but parted as friends- beautifully run tours of small sizes so as personalised as you would like and value for money at the same time.
