The tour was very well organized. All activities were punctual, and the daily itinerary was explained in detail the day before. The guide was excellent, explaining all the details of the monasteries and temples and the local culture. She took beautiful photos of the group, which were shared. The hotels and restaurants were well selected. I highly recommend this tour as it's a true immersion in Tibetan culture and breathtaking landscapes.

A well organized tour despite the challenges brought about by the Chinese New Year. Our guide, Lhakdon, was quick to find good alternatives to any problem, and her knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism and Tibet in general is impressive. The bus was comfortable with oxygen on board (that luckily no one needed) and the driver did an excellent job. A great way of travelling overland from China to Nepal.

  • Great Experience with Ga Rong as Foreign Students 🤙

I can’t speak highly enough of this tour! It was really well structured and offered a well rounded experience of Tibetan culture and history. The hotels were all really lovely, we were well fed and felt especially looked after by our guide, Ga Rong. Once I told Ga Rong I was a vegetarian, he made sure I was well catered for at all meals. Hotel breakfasts were all buffet with both western and Asian options. The meals that were not included in the tour price were all reasonably priced, between 30 and 50 RMB, and generally featured authentic dishes. Ga Rong was a well of knowledge at all of the sites we visited. He had answers for all of our questions and a funny story or anecdote for every situation. We especially appreciated his knowledge of where all the cleanest bathrooms were! The first half of the tour is spent in Lhasa city before driving across the country to the Nepalese border. The bus we got was new and really spacious with heated, cooled and reclining seats. The second half of the trip involves a lot of driving and the roads were very windy in places so beware if you experience motion sickness. Our driver was really capable and the bus also had some inbuilt safety precautions to make sure he took regular breaks which was definitely peace of mind. The experience driving through the Himalayas was unlike anything else so be sure to keep watch out the windows! We visited Tibet in the off season which I would definitely recommend. The sights were much quieter and it was nice and dry which offered great views of all of the mountains. The draw back of this was that there were a good few restaurants and shops closed but I didn’t feel like this took away from the experience very much at all. We were afforded some great views of Everest! The tour group provided us with some extra warm blankets for watching the sun setting over the peak. I wasn’t feeling great because of the quick jump in altitude but Ga Rong made sure to check in on me and gave me some advice for feeling better. Much appreciated! Ga Rong also guided us the full way out through the Chinese side of the boarder and we were met by one of his colleagues on the other side to guide us through the Nepalese border control. We opted to be driven by the company to Kathmandu for an additional cost which I definitely recommend over using the local buses. The roads were very bumpy and ran along the cliff edge for a good portion of the journey to Kathmandu. The company provided Jeeps which were well able to manage the terrain. We also didn’t see any sign of a local buses at the border which may have been due to the time of year.

  • Unforgettable Adventure Through Tibet

Absolutely immeasurable time of my life adventuring through Tibet, learning about the history, culture and beliefs and being able to experience that first hand through extra experiences not listed. These included eating at a local’s house overseeing Lake Yamdrok, and being able to learn Tibetan language, making incense and printing prayer flags in Lhasa. Any questions we had were easily answered by our amazing guide Garon, who passionately explained the history and fun facts of every location and Tibet, answering questions we didn’t even know we had. Without him, our time wouldn’t have been half as memorable. Worth every dollar spent.

  • Amazing Tibet overland tour with Tserina and Gyal

717/1500 Translation results We made an overland tour from Kathmandu to Lhasa. The experience was unforgettable, with breathtaking landscapes, wonderful monasteries and temples, and the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Special thanks to our guide Tserina and our driver Gyal. Tserina is not only super attentive, she also knows everything about Buddhism and Tibetan culture, so you can really learn a lot about Tibet and its traditions. Gyal always drove impeccably, even on difficult roads and mountain passes. Even, the van was new and very comfortable. Last but not least, both were a huge help when I needed assistance with altitude sickness. They took care about me, and provided oxygen when needed. The trip is wonderful but not easy, given the high altitudes and remote locations, but the agency's organization, the hotel's choice and the skill of Tserina and Gyal made everything much easier. I can only recommend this experience to anyone.

Great experience in Tibet. From Lhasa onwards the whole tour was wonderful, with landscapes, temples and a really fascinating culture. Our guide, Ga Rong, was impeccable and had perfect English, which made it easier for me to understand, as my knowledge of the language is a bit uncertain. The group, made up of people from different European countries, was nice and close-knit. Even the hotels we stayed in were all of great quality. Definitely an experience that I recommend to everyone.
