Overall, I had a very positive experience with Tibet Vista, especially thanks to my guide Tenzing and our driver Karma. Both of them were excellent throughout the trip. Tenzing was always very helpful, attentive, and supportive during the whole journey. He was constantly checking on us, especially regarding meals, and was always ready to help whenever any unexpected issue came up. He was knowledgeable about Tibet and the places we visited, spoke English reasonably well, and was consistently kind and professional. He also handled all the logistics during the trip very efficiently, which made the journey much smoother. I also really appreciated the fact that the hotels selected for the tour were all quite good. In addition, Tibet Vista took care of everything related to the Tibet permit and the train booking from Chongqing to Lhasa without any problems. Everything went smoothly in that regard, and the company delivered exactly what had been agreed during the booking process. That said, there were also some aspects of the tour that I did not like. First, the tour is advertised on the website as ending in Kathmandu, but in reality we still had to pay an extra 60 USD for transport from the border to Kathmandu. This was disappointing, especially because the journey was done in a car with five people on a very uncomfortable road, which made the trip extremely tiring. On top of that, the driver at the end was rude and insisted on asking for a tip. For the price charged, there should be a maximum of four people per car, including the driver. This part of the experience was honestly quite bad. Another issue was the group size. I believe 12 people is too many, especially when visiting temples and monasteries, which are often already crowded. Because of this, it became very difficult for everyone to stay together and properly hear the guide’s explanations, especially since there was no audio guide system. A smaller group would have made the experience much better. I also felt that, particularly in the temples and monasteries, we had to rush through the visits without enough time to really appreciate the places. Everything often felt too fast, and I was genuinely disappointed that we could not spend more time exploring some of the most important sites. In many cases, too much time was spent on meals, which reduced the time available for the actual visits. This also happened at Everest Base Camp: we arrived very late, spent the night there, and the next morning everything was rushed again and we had to leave very early. I would have really liked at least a couple more hours there. Finally, I think the long travel times between cities were also made worse by the size of the group. Because we were 12, we had to travel by minibus, which was quite slow. I believe smaller groups of no more than 8 people, travelling by van, would be a much better option. Vans are faster and would allow more time to focus on what really matters in this kind of trip: the temples, monasteries, and Everest. Considering the price of the tour, I think that would be a much fairer arrangement.

The tour was a spectacular and memorable experience overall. The scenery is stunning and for anyone with an interest in Tibetan Buddhism, the temples and monasteries are fascinating. The trip to Everest base camp will live long in memory too. Our local guide was called Lhakpa Tenzin, and I highly recommend him: he was good-humoured and knowledgeable, and made the whole experience a pleasure. I'm deducting one star because our experience with the central agent for Tibet Vista was not as positive: there was a general lack of communication once the deposit was paid, issued obtaining the permit, and no guide was there to meet us when we arrived. Others on the same tour had much better experiences.

So, after many months of consideration, I decided to book a trip to Mont Everest. First of all I thank Sara who didn't try to persuade me but she tried to answer all my questions. That led to me booking the trip. I decided to fly to Lhasa and was picked up from the airport by Tibet Vista! Everything was perfectly organized and I didn't have to wait a minute. Approaching Lhasa, incredible. I have flown a lot in my life but that was impressive. On par with the peaks. After a leisurely drive I arrived in Lhasa and was dropped off at the hotel! Where possible I chose the hotels and Tibet Vista made it possible. Our tour guide for the next few days called me in the car and asked if I wanted to take the tour with me that day. Very cool very nice but I declined to relax. 晋美 understood directly that I want to relax the arrival day. 晋美 was 100% there for all guests every day and always has the right information at hand! Once I was unsure if he was telling this right but Google confirmed it. I was completely satisfied with 晋美. 晋美 somehow had a great feeling what people need. He was always unobtrusive. The 7 days were unique and perfectly organized. The stages were super planned and it was perfect all around. My hotels were: Lhasa: Shangri-La Shigatse: Hilton (I'm not a Hilton fan but that was W O W) Gyirong: the hotel was booked by Tibet Vista and I didn't think I would get such a great hotel there. I would do the whole trip again the way I did it!

This tour was without a doubt one of the most beautiful and most memorable experience I had during my travels. From my first contact with Tibet Vista to the very end at the border of Nepal everything was impeccable, not even if trying hard to find something to fault in the tour there is something I could mention. Grace who was our contact online at booking stage and prior to our arrival was extremely informative, helpful and coordinated everything smoothly. On arrival in Lhasa we were met at the train station, welcomed warmly and shown to the hotel. Our guide, Tintin met us on the following morning, and from there the amazing tour started. Tintin throughout the entire week was outstanding, very knowledgeable, attentive, always checking on the group and had such a positive energy. I usually travel independently but had my fair share of tours and Tintin is definitely the best guide I had the opportunity to meet. The first 2 days in Lhasa were amazing, we visited many sights and experienced a lot like the Cultural experience which was outstanding as was the welcome dinner, needless to say, the sights in Lhasa are impressive. The remainder of the week was equally stunning, from the high passes, to the lake and Everest Base Camp, without forgetting the breathtaking views from the car as we were making our way to Nepal, no picture can make justice to the views. The hotels were all top notch, great service and facilities, the one of Lhasa had one of the best breakfast I have experienced. The hotel at Everest Base Camp had stunning views of the mountain right from the room. I highly the recommend this tour and Tibet Vista, and I can’t wait for the opportunity to visit Tibet once again myself. Thanks a lot once again to Tintin, our Driver and Tibet Vista for this amazing and unforgettable week.

Cannot express how much im happy and grateful to have been able to do this tour! Everything from the very start was impeccable - booking it, the correspondence, all the info, pdf guides we got. All our questions were replied fast, and we felt so assured about the whole process. We were greeted at the train station, welcomed and taken to the first hotel. All accommodation hotels were pretty amazing; we were given very good hotels, which was way more than what we expected. All arrangements with the pick ups, day plans, check ins check outs were impeccable. We were never late, all was done in agreement with the entire group. The tour was planned very well and the guide Tintin (Tenzin) really committed himself to us, and making sure everything went as planned. He repeatedly checked on us, especially on the matter of our heath and wellbeing , due to possible altitude sickness. He went above and beyond the duties of a regular guide, and on top of that, he made us laugh. Adding that the cultural experience we had with a Master in Lhasa, was one of the highlights. Seeing Mount Everest peak was a dream come true, breathtaking experience. We truly got lucky with the people in our group as well - we matched so perfectly, it really contributed to how we experienced the trip. We were amazed by Tibet, the people, food, cities, the breathtaking nature; it is a place like no other. Im so grateful to be able to come and experience it. It is a place we will surely remember and visit again, Im sure.

This tour moves at a fast pace, which means you’re able to see and experience a lot in a relatively short amount of time. That’s definitely a highlight, though at times it did feel a little rushed, and we would have loved a few more opportunities to pause and really take everything in. The Tibetan landscape is truly beautiful, and the encounters we had with locals along the way offered a glimpse into how warm, resilient, and welcoming Tibetans are. They have an authentic and very special culture. Our guide, Tintin, was wonderful - friendly, helpful, and incredibly efficient at getting us through the various checkpoints smoothly, which made the journey much easier. When we reached Lhasa, we swapped guides, and Purbhu was very informative and engaging, adding even more depth to the experience. There is a strong focus on temples on this tour, which are each historic fascinating. That said, it would have been great to also hear more about the surrounding landscapes, as well as perhaps a little bit more of Tibetan customs and everyday life, to give a more rounded experience. Would recommend doing some of your own research too! I found myself wishing we could have stopped at some of the 11th-century Tibetan kingdom ruins we passed along the way, they looked so intriguing. Overall, a memorable and enriching trip, with just a few areas that could make it even more special. Finally, I would recommend requesting Tibetan-owned accommodation in the Lhasa (as this is not the default) staying in the old town might offer a more authentic experience of the city. We will not forgot this beautiful country and it’s beautiful people! Tashi Delek!
