If you're debating it, just do it! We had such an amazing experience! Our guide, Choezom and driver, Liu were simply the best. I was amazed at the amount of knowledge Choezom had about each place we went, Buddhism, and the Chinese and Tibetan cultures! She helped translate for us when interacting with others and when needed. She was so sweet and I can't say enough positive things about her. They made things seamless for us through all the checkpoints and there was so much to learn at each and every stop. We had a small group of 5 and really lucked out with how well we all got along. There is a decent amount if driving, which was expected, but in a luxury van. For all you other Americans, be ready for firmer beds than we are used to, download wechat and alipay to pay for literally everything else in China, and be ready and open to the ways of the Chinese culture (squat toilets and social norms). Again, if this is a trip you are considering, just do it! You won't regret it and you are in good hands!

We had a great tour with Tibet Vista! Our guide Tsamchoe was amazing; very attentive and helpful. Our driver was also great (I forgot his name though); he was willing to stop for pictures along the way. The sights were phenomenal. I definitely recommend the driving experience. Also, the transfer from the China side to the Nepal side was smooth, clear, and well-managed.

The tour was great. Amazing views and all the places we stayed were clean and nice. Our guide, Choezom was amazlingly knowledgeable - she could tell us everything about everything. She was also decisive in the perfect way, meaning she was super nice, but we still didn’t waste any time. I wish we could have some options to hike a little, but other than that it was great!

  • Great Tibet-trip!

This is a great trip that takes you to the must sees of Lhasa as well as Everest Base Camp and cool places along the road! Choezom was an amazing guide, with so much knowledge and made sure that we had time to do all that we wanted. Good group size and nice vibes. We would have wanted to be even more in nature, this is a driving mostly tour, but we understand that this is difficult in Tibet. Some prices are unexpected when booking (e.g. driver from the border to Kathmandu), but over all a really good experience!

We had the most amazing time on this tour! It is fast paced and packed with sites with great cultural and historical value. Our guide, Dickey, is the best guide in the world. She is funny, enthusiastic, organised, and extremely caring. We are going to miss her when we leave! Our only regret for this tour is that we didn't book a longer one. We are already planning to come back to Tibet to see more of it. Thank you Dickey for everything! The trip would not have been the same without you 😊

  • Amazing 7days in Tibet

We recently completed a 7-day journey from Lhasa to Kathmandu via Everest Base Camp, and the entire experience was highly impressive. The logistics and overall organization were executed perfectly from start to finish. The accommodations throughout the trip were excellent, matching the standards of great 4-star hotels. A standout highlight was the accommodation at Everest Base Camp itself; despite staying in a traditional tent, the amenities matched those of a 3-star hotel, featuring proper beds and heated blankets that ensured an exceptionally comfortable night. Our guide, Tashi, provided an outstanding level of service. Her profound knowledge of Tibetan culture, history, and Buddhism added immense depth to every site we visited. Beyond her professional expertise, she brought a unique element to the itinerary, guiding us with a sense of mindfulness that transformed this scenic tour into a genuinely spiritual experience. For anyone planning this route, this tour offers a perfect balance of excellent organization, comfort, and rich cultural insight.

  • Tour of a Lifetime

    MartinS10542,May 24, 2026

My son and I enjoyed this excellent tour immensely. Our tour guide Gompo had an extensive knowledge of Tibetan history, culture and buddhist practices and this made it a memorable trip. He was also very friendly and helped us find good Tibetan restaurants. He made sure that we were always comfortable and not having issues with altitude sickness. Oxygen was always in the vehicle if anyone had issues but this was not required by most of us. The hotels used for the trip in Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyirong were all comfortable and clean. We stayed in the tented camp at EBC and we had a separate room with beds, doonas and blankets which kept us warm in the cold conditions. The nearby view of Everest at sunrise and sunset was the memory of a lifetime. Gompo helped at the border with Nepal to make sure everyone got through OK. The road to Kathmandu on the other side is unsurfaced for much of the way and the group of 12 was split into three separate four wheel drive vehicles. The Tibet section is all in a single minibus driving on surfaced roads. This made the drive very comfortable as Fung was an excellent driver. I booked the trip directly on line with Tibet Vista and I wish to complement Kristin for the great help she gave me in answering all my questions and completing the booking. I would thoroughly recommend this tour with Tibet Vista.

We chose this tour as part of our honey moon, and we could not be more satisfied. Choezom was an exceptional guide, explaining so many things in a clear way and always listening to our questions and needs. The driver, Karma, was patient and nice, he drove us safely to all the places we visited, letting us taking pictures wherever we wanted to. As the costs, the price is very convenient for all the places we visited. You can stay safe with Choezom and Karma, they will take care of everything you need. Also, she gave us some good suggestions about the EBC camp and the weather forecast. Highly, highly, highly recommend tour and guide!
