The Mweka Trail will lead you through the scree and rocks to the moorland and eventually into the rain forest. Best hike and the hardest hike ive done in ky life. But thankful to mafie adventures and all the guides and our porters for doing all good work for us. Best guides ever. All 8 of us plus 1 made it to the summit on Sept 17, 2025. I highly recommend this company. Erastus the owner is the best, he did what he ask for he spoiled us from picking up from the airport , to our climb in Kilimanjaro to safari tour. His the best. Overall he help us bigtime for what we need. I will definitely use this company and recommend to others.

In January 2025 I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Mafie Adventures. Erastus helped me very well with the planning part and we even switched the schedule last minute because it would fit better. We swapped the safari and the climb so that I could enjoy the safari in a fun group. The safari was a great itinerary, but the highlight was the Kilimanjaro climb. My guide Oliver guided me very well on the mountain, even when I got a bit of altitude sickness. Saidi cooked the best meals that I didn't even know were possible to make on a mountain. Then a special shout out to Peter, who brought me my so to say 'roomservice' to my tent everyday and also summited with me. And last but not least the main porters Fausty, Bresson & Barakka. (Sorry if I mispelled any names). Thank you to my crew and Mafie Adventures for a very special adventures which I will cherish forever. 5 stars!

My partner and I had the most AMAZING time with our crew. Our guides Ombeni and Safaeli were so friendly and kind but also extremely professional and knowledgeable about the mountain with a combined experience of 20+ years on the mountain. They were with us every step of the way, from morning till the night and made the trip once in a lifetime. Our team consisted of 2 guides, chef, waiter and 6 porters. They were all exceptional and truly the highlight of the experience. You become so close with the team that they really feel like family. Please please please remember to tip. I recommend $300-$400 per person as these guys are genuinely UNBELIEVABLE!! Honourable mention to: Ombeni: Chief Guide Safaeli: assistant guide Victor Joacimu: (THE BEST) Chef Boniface Philipo: (THE SWEETEST) Waiter Kilala: Our number one Summit porter Agai Nassary: our amazing porter Emmanueli Sawsaw: our great porter Victor Godbless: our super kind porter who carried all of our bags Frenk Samweli: our lovely porter Gliadi Christopher: our super porter

I spontaneously wanted to climb Kilimanjaro before 2024 ends with no equipments or preparations. So I contacted Mafie team literally few days before the trip. They responded immediately, and assured me they can provide equipments and a great crew to summit Kilimanjaro. I just booked my flights, and they helped me with hotel, and pick up from airport. I met my crew, and we kicked off our journey. Mafie's crew (Mr Asseno the guide, Mr Saeidy the chef, Mr Yassin the helper, and two Mr Baker the porters helped me to achieve my dream. They helped me focus solely on my trek and not worry about bags, tents, food, or anything. Mr Asseno is a great guide, he speaks both french and english. He is very social, very knowledgeable about Kilimanjaro (has been doing that for more than 10 years). He is also the right mix of a guide that I needed. Someone who will help me with adrenaline and yet ensure my safety. He pushed me and motivated me to summit while I was tired and luckily I made it to the peak). The food was amazing; I didn't expect to eat pizza, pop corn, and drink hot chocolate in such a challenging trip. Mafie's team don't do that for money. Really they like their job, their company, and they are passionate about Kilimanjaro and super caring that you achieve your goal. Definitely, when I am coming back to Tanzania, Mafie will be my first choice to organize any safari or climbing trips again.

  • Thank you for making our dream come true!!

The whole experience was amazing! From the moment Erastus picked us up at the airport we felt welcomed and always taken cared of. The two guides ~ Oliver and Mathew - were super professional, very knowledgeable, and always kind and caring. Food was very good, as were the whole team of porters who do nothing short of an amazing job. We both summited successfully and the whole team really did their job in helping us every step of the way. All in all I will definitely recommend Mafie and their services to anyone who wants to get a personalized Kilimanjaro experience. Pole Pole!

I had the privilege of reaching the top of the Kilimanjaro with my son and nephew. Erastus and his team made it not only possible but also enjoyable. Oliver and Godlove were our guides, and together with the porters, they made sure that we had a smooth climbing - and everything went well. We enjoyed the hospitality of Anthony's Savanah House as well as Mt. Mero area 1 day Safari with Jimmy. Erastus took care of all transfers, including recovering our luggage that arrived late, just in time for the climbing. I am deeply thankful for the service provided and the friendship we enjoyed.
