True adventure biking into the Manang region of Nepal. The roads are epic: mostly gravel or dirt tracks; some are carved into the cliffsides with rushing rivers in the valley below, others lie in beautiful valleys with towering mountain peaks around you. With all the unbelievable scenery, and the fact that you get taken right into the mountains, makes this one of our most appealing tours. Plus ride in comfort on our dualsport bikes: Honda CRF250L is the perfect, light, agile bike to ride in the variable Himalayan terrain.

It would take me all day to give this tour the description it deserves....and I don't have all day (( It was amazing from start to finish..the professionalism the friendliness and the plain good company of Grace, Uda and their staff was great.. I had a ball and I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone.....regardless of their experience or ability whether they're Harley heads, Sportbike riders or Adventure riders

It has taken me a while to provide this review. I went to Nepal in March 2024. The trip with Ride Nepal is one of the most organised and well-run trips that I have ever encountered. From the moment I contacted Ride Nepal, the responses were swift, helpful, and friendly. Grace responded to all my questions and tolerated lots of enquiries. On top of the information on the website, and from Grace, I received an information booklet, printed on local Nepalese paper and nicely presented, and a map of Nepal. On arrival we were collected from the airport and both Grace and Udaya made us feel welcome. Despite the fact that the tour did not start until the next day, Udaya and Grace devoted their entire evening to taking us on a tour of Kathmandu and to the Shivaaratra festival. It was a fascinating evening. Unlike any other tourists, we had the benefit of Udaya's knowledge and passion for his country. The riding started the next day. The bikes were impeccably maintained and ideal for the country and terrain. If anyone reads this report before booking, I strongly advise against taking a tour on an an Enfield. The idea may be romantic, but the riding will be uncomfortable and tiresome on such a heavy bike with poor suspension. Nearly every tour company uses Enfield because they are cheap. The Honda's operated by Ride Nepal are expensive to buy and run by comparison, but they are modern and brilliant machines. The riding in Kathmandu is an excellent introduction to the crazy roads and the Prithvi Highway. Great fun, exciting, and completely different to anywhere I had ridden before. Once you get into the mountains the riding and views are out of this world. No photographs can do them justice. Throughout the entire trip we had Udaya as the guide, and a support vehicle with our kit and a spare bike (which we ended up using before the end of the week). Udaya is an ex-military officer having trained at Sandhurst in the UK. He is capable and confidence-inspiring and he knows the roads, mountains, culture, and country like the back of his hand. He made us feel safe the entire time, he was able to change plans at the drop of the hat without any stress or hassle (we had to change our itinerary 'on the fly' due to the risk of snow causing us to get stuck at altitude) and his charisma and humour kept us entertained all week. It is one of the best run adventures I have ever experienced. Nothing was too much trouble and every day was packed with new experiences and fun. The accommodation is all local and it made us feel like we genuinely enjoyed the country and the culture that it has to offer. I can't recommend Ride Nepal highly enough.

My trip was everything I’d hoped for: a chance to ride fun bikes on incredible roads while meeting people along the way and seeing breathtaking landscapes. Grace and Udaya planned an itinerary to suit my interests, and my guide, Takeshi, and my bike, a seemingly indestructible and hugely capable Honda CRF250, made for a memorable 10 days on the road. The weather in mid-December was perfect, with clear views of mountains and blue skies/golden sunshine all along the way. Manang was cold at night (minus temperatures), but the time on the bike was equivalent to a dry day in Spring in the U.K. - i.e. perfect. The food was fantastic and the accommodation was great (although don’t expect heating and hot showers when you get up high in the mountains). The roads are tough in places if you have limited off-road experience like me, but they are also a huge amount of fun! The bikes are more than capable and never fail to start - even after you fail to keep them upright. Lastly, Udaya, Grace and Takeshi are all really good people who will look after you. Udaya is full of the most remarkable stories that have the makings of a best-selling autobiography if he chooses to write it. (Make sure he tells you about his time at Sandhurst and his athletics records.) If you’re not sure about booking, find a way to get the cash together and take the plunge. You won’t regret it.
