When you exit the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by a THE VISIT LANKA representative who will be your chauffeur for the rest of this 8 days popular tour in Sri Lanka and drive you directly to Sigiriya. Based on the time you arrive in Sri Lanka, it will be decided whether you should visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. Otherwise, the visit to the Dambulla Temple will be arranged on a later date. Overnight at sigiriya. and you will check-in at a hotel (hotel standards depends on your selection of the tour. Hotel standards vary from Budget / Economy hotels to Standard hotels to Luxury hotels). On the morning of the second day, you will be driven to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa where you can explore the ruins left by the Cholas Dynasty. Afterwards, you can experience an amazing and authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry meal!! Thereafter, you will be driven to the safari tour and At the conclusion of the safari, you will be driven back to the hotel. Polonnaruwa was a great city in Sri Lanka which came in to prominence during its’ brief period of 2 Centuries of Sri Lankan history, being second only to the ancient city of Anuradhapura in ancient cultural heritage. Polonnaruwa today is a showcase of the great ancient Sri Lankan architecture dating back to 12th Century AD ,which was interwoven with many Buddhist monasteries and monuments which were built by the King Parakramabahu I.

After a delicious breakfast, you will be driven to the famous Sigirya Rock, where you will have an opportunity to climb to the top of this ancient rock fortress. Thereafter, you will be driven to the famous and beautiful city of Kandy. Along the way, a visit a spice garden is planned. Thereafter, you will be driven directly to the hotel in Kandy. Sigiriya Rock is not hard to climb. There are about 1,200 steps to the summit. That’s roughly equivalent to climbing 60 flights of stairs. Depending on your fitness, crowds, and level of interest, it will take about 45 minutes to an hour to reach the top. Also, if you cannot climb this fortress, we will take you around the rock by car, so you will have a nice experience and get photos too. You should note that we will especially care for the elderly and will provide a helper for them.

After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, you will have a great opportunity to visit the city of Kandy, Temple of the Sacred tooth Relic and the Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. thereafter in the evening, you will be driven to watch a fantastic traditional Sri Lankan dance event. You will spend the night in Kandy. Temple of Tooth, Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River. It is renowned for its collection of orchids.

After good breakfast, you will be driven to Nuwara Eliya. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, you will have an opportunity to view some beautiful waterfalls and tea plantations. If a train is available at the time of your arrival to the station, you can enjoy a breathtaking train ride to Ella, if not you will be driven to Ella by car. You will spend the night in Ella. The Kandy to Nuwara Eliya route is scenic with greenish tea plantations. You will be able to visit a tea estate and a tea factory. There you can observe how the famous Ceylon tea is plucked and processed. Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful, hilly city with an elevation of 1881m. Its friendly climate always attracts people to the city. There are so many nice places to visit. Nanu Oya railway station is not far from there. The train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella is a fantastic journey with magnificent views.

After an enjoyable breakfast, you will need to leave a bit early to see the beautiful and popular places in Ella. Some of these places are, Little Adams Peak and the Nine Arch Bridge. After visiting these places, you will be driven to Tissamaharama to visit the famous Yala National Park. Along the way, you will have an opportunity to view the beautiful water fall named Rawana Falls. Once you arrive at the hotel, you can have your lunch and thereafter you will be driven to the Yala National Park, for a safari tour. You will spend the night in Tissamaharama. The Nine Arches Bridge, also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. We are going to reach the place through a bit of a jungle-like road. If you can not go by walking through the jungel, then we can go by tuk tuk to a nearby location..

5.00In terms of organization, execution, and route, it was optimal, although the times in the car were sometimes really long, but we saw a lot of this beautiful island. Never met such friendly people before, whether in the hotel or outside, everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The places included sightseeing, culture, and of course visits to tea factories, silk shops, souvenir shops, and jewelry stores. But you don't have to buy anything. I would also recommend everyone to think carefully because in the stores you are taken to, tourist prices will also be charged. The highlights were the temples and also some hotels, especially in Ella, Sigiriya was top, while some hotels were rather mediocre. Our private guide was excellent. The advantage of the tour through FlamingoUrlaub was that you can customize your tours, and the guide also accommodates every wish.

5.00I came across The Visit Lanka Tours as I was researching a holiday to Sri Lanka. All of the reviews were amazing for the tour and Manju as the guide. Having just completed an 8 day tour I can say it was even better than we imagined it could be. From the first interaction on the website, which triggered a WhatsApp exchange, Manju has been amazing. Always quick to respond, he provides great recommendations and made it so easy to book and reserve the hotels we required and itinerary. His experience and professionalism are very clear as soon as you begin interacting with him. You will do most interactions over WhatsApp including transferring deposits etc. rest assured it is all secure and safe. Manju is everything amazing about Sri Lanka. He is warm, friendly , attentive, professional and always looking after his clients. We felt so special being guided by him. The tour he arranged was just outstanding. We saw so many attractions , had amazing food, the hotels he recommended for us were all great and he always checked in to make sure we were having a great time. He is a master of reading people and knows what type of attractions you may like and even recommend different things on a daily basis that we would do outside the normal tour. We loved it all. Sri Lanka requires a lot of driving between cities and Manju is a great and safe driver. His vehicle was always clean and comfortable. Having visited 27 counties I can say Sri Lanka and this tour is a much see and do. Don’t hesitate.
