The island is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and has been protected as a marine sanctuary since 1974. Just a 10 minutes boat ride from Bangcogon Oslob mainland, is a beautiful yet small island surrounded by a reef with crystal clear waters, different species of marine life, and just one private resort manage by Bluewater Sumilon island resort.
