It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. The park covers 979 square kilometres (378 sq mi) and is located about 300 kilometres (190 mi) from Colombo. **Wheel Adventures with Sri Lanka Travel Tales** If you're looking to turn your Sri Lankan holiday from 'great' to 'legendary', buckle up and let Sri Lanka Travel Tales take the wheel! Our driver was not just punctual but practically part-time timekeeper, ensuring we were always on schedule but with enough flexibility to make a Swiss watch jealous. Navigating the winding roads of this gorgeous island, our driver was the epitome of a safe driving school poster boy—minus the boring lecture part. Whether it was dodging elephants or dodging potholes, he handled every curve and corner with the grace of a ballet dancer on four wheels. And talk about going the extra mile—our driver was more than happy to extend his hours, turning our travel plans into epic, unplanned adventures. It was like having a superhero at the helm, only instead of a cape, he had a steering wheel. So, if you want your journey through Sri Lanka to be as smooth as the island’s famous coconut milk, I highly recommend Sri Lanka Travel Tales. They add that special 'drive' to your travel tale!

Ayobuwan! We just finished our 10 day tour of Sri Lanka. It was a life changing experience. It was all made possible by Sri Lanka Travel Tales and our friendly, responsible & reliable driver, Hasitha and wonderful agent, Shani. If you are looking for a guide in SL I can wholeheartedly vouch for them. They helped us determine our itinerary and despite being 3 travelers we were incredibly comfortable in Hisatha’s spacious Honda grace with A/C and Bluetooth. A million thanks to Sri Lanka travel tales can’t wait to come back. You guys are rock stars and the Greatest Of All Time.

Me and my girlfriend did a tour with the amazing guide and now friend Hasitha! We really enjoyed the tour from day one until the last day. It’s hard to not become friends with him, even so he will always treat you with the highest degree of respect and will sincerely care about your enjoyment and health during the trip. He will always ask you how you feel or what you want to do or what he can do for you to make the trip even better. When we went on Safari in Yala, he went along and you could see he really enjoyed it even if he had done it 10 times before. He would spot animals in the forest like an actual nature guide, all this because he wants you to have a great time. You never feel like you have the pressure to do stuff, if you felt like doing nothing one day you could just say so and it was no problem. Do the trip and you will experience different climates, nature, food and people. But one thing all Sri Lankans have in common is that they are super friendly and very helpful. You can ask anyone for help and they will give it to you. Hasitha is one of them, he will book anything, drive you anywhere, help with all things, negotiate prices and even be your safari guide! 10/10

We had the MOST wonderful and amazing trip with Hasitha ! He was a FABULOUS guide ! We were so lucky to meet him . He drove all around the country and knew exactly where to go, what to do and where to stay . He knew where to change money and where to eat. He waited patiently for us as we dined, shopped or surfed. The highlight was our safari which will be a cherished memory of our lifetime ! I was there for work and my husband came along to visit . We had a short amount of time but Hasitha did an incredible job of showing us all the highlights and making sure I was back in Colombo in time for my meetings. We highly recommend Hasitha and Sri Lanka Travel Tales! We hope we can come back again some day soon and hire Hasitha again ! He is so nice , speaks fluent English and very knowledgeable about the history and culture . Thank you so much Hasitha !

My family and I had an unforgettable trip to Sri Lanka thanks to our tour guide, Hasitha. He is a very knowledgeable and experienced guide who was able to tailor make our itinerary to our interests and budget. We wanted to see a mix of cultural attractions, natural wonders, and beaches, and Hasitha was able to put together the perfect itinerary for us. We started our trip in Colombo, the capital city, where we visited the Gangaramaya Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in the country. We also visited the National Museum of Colombo, which houses a collection of artifacts from Sri Lanka's rich history. Next, we traveled to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. We visited the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. We also visited the Royal Palace of Kandy and the Kandy Lake. From Kandy, we traveled to the hill country, where we visited the picturesque town of Nuwara Eliya. We also visited a tea plantation and learned about the process of making Sri Lankan tea. From Nuwara Eliya, we traveled to Yala National Park, one of the best places in Sri Lanka to see wildlife. We went on a safari and saw elephants, leopards, crocodiles, and many other animals. After our safari, we traveled to the coast, where we spent a few days relaxing on the beach. We also visited the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hasitha was with us every step of the way, and he made sure that we had a wonderful time. He was always on time, organized, and prepared. He also has a great sense of humor and made our journey enjoyable. I highly recommend Hasitha as a tour guide to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. He is a professional and reliable guide who will make your trip unforgettable.
