• A Wonderful Journey through Sri Lanka with our Friend, Mimi (Sameera)

  We had the most wonderful time in Sri Lanka thanks to our guide, Sameera (Mimi), who very quickly became our friend.😊 From the very beginning, his kindness and genuine care stood out. He is incredibly knowledgeable and deeply passionate about Sri Lanka💚— its nature, culture, and people — and you can feel how much he loves sharing all of this with you. At the same time, he was just as curious and interested in learning about our culture, which made every conversation feel meaningful and personal. We shared so many special moments together: swimming in waterfalls💦, walking through rice fields, forests, tea plantation,🌿 stopping for fresh coconuts🥥 to rehydrate, enjoying "private beach" dinner,🏖 discovering fruits we had never tasted before (i.e. red 🍌). There were also plenty of laughs along the way (we’ll never forget our little “Lake Gregory” joke 😉). He always made us feel safe and comfortable — he drives very carefully and thoughtfully. This experience was so much more than a tour. It felt authentic, relaxed, and full of joy. We leave Sri Lanka not only with beautiful memories, but also with a new friend. • A Driver and a Friend

  We had a wonderful 9-day tour with Sameera (Mimi). We started out with a driver and ended with a dear friend. From the start communication was prompt, professional and polite. Mimi helped us plan our itinerary baes on our interests, which was extremely helpful. During the tour he was always thinking of little experiences we would enjoy along the way and giving us insights into the history and culture of Sri Lanka. When we had a mishap with our debit card he worked tirelessly to resolve it with the local bank. His kindness, care and flexibility throughout the trip were unmatched. Mimi is truly a lovely person and we will cherish the time spent with him.

  Mimi was an incredible driver who truly made our trip to Sri Lanka unforgettable. He is one of the most kind-hearted, thoughtful, and genuinely wonderful people we’ve ever met, and our holiday simply would not have been the same without him. From the moment he picked us up at the airport until the moment we departed, Mimi took care of every single detail with genuine kindness, care, and integrity. We felt completely looked after at all times, which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy every part of our trip. Mimi didn’t just drive us - he guided us through Sri Lanka like a friend. He went above and beyond to show us places off the beaten track and gave us experiences we will treasure forever, from playing cricket with local children to watching a breathtaking sunset with a local farmer in his field. He made everything seamless and effortless, allowing us to focus purely on enjoying this beautiful country. The car itself was immaculate, extremely comfortable, and with excellent air conditioning which made every journey smooth and relaxing. We have genuinely made a special friend in Mimi and cannot wait to return to Sri Lanka to tour with him again. Look no further - you will not find a better driver in Sri Lanka.   We had a great time with Sanaali Tours! Mimi was able to organise a driver on very short notice and was very flexible with the schedule. Our driver, Lalith, did an amazing job, he had some great recommendations and took us to some tiny local places for lunch. He was very realiable and helpful. The car was also spotless and very comfortable.

  I can’t express enough how grateful we are for our driver Mimi — he made our entire Sri Lanka experience truly exceptional. From the moment he picked us up at the airport until the moment we departed, he took care of every detail with genuine kindness, responsibility, and professionalism. Even in unexpected moments, he went above and beyond. When I wasn’t feeling well and felt bad about calling him late at night, he calmly said, “It is my responsibility to take care of you. If I don’t, who would here?” — that moment captured who he really is: someone you can fully trust. He helped us change hotels, picked us up without hesitation in the middle of the night, and made sure we were always safe and comfortable. He didn’t just drive us; he guided us through the country as if we were family. As two female travelers, we felt completely safe and cared throughout the trip. He suggested activities, arranged extra tours, and even made the famous Ella train ride possible, despite the landslides in the region, by coordinating with our accommodation for last-minute free cancellation and with the train operator so we wouldn’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience. His car was spotless, his driving smooth, and his communication excellent. Above all, his sincerity and respect stood out every day. We left Sri Lanka feeling deeply connected and thankful — not only did we explore a beautiful country, but we met a wonderful person who made our journey unforgettable.   We did a 9-day tour with Sameera and were extremely satisfied with everything. He was very attentive, helpful, warm, and kind — we truly felt like family.   We found Sameera through Reddit and he was amazing from A-Z a true hidden gem. He helped us with our 19 day trip throughout Sri Lanka. As we are Sri Lankan ourselves based in New York we were actually able to show him one part of Sri Lanka while he showed us the other , making it amazing for both of us. We had a nice big van for us 4 and he was always nice throughout the trip , with his English being great. He always made sure we were well fed and happy and was on time whenever we needed him. Do not hesitate to book with him over any one else to make sure you have a great journey in Sri Lanka !

  We found Mimi through a Reddit recommendation (of all places!) and decided to book him for our two big journeys that were tricky to do independently. We’re so glad we did… he was absolutely amazing!! From the start, Mimi was incredibly responsive on WhatsApp, which made planning everything so easy and stress-free. He’s warm, friendly, and genuinely cares about making your trip enjoyable. He customised each day to our requests, was super flexible with timing, and always had great suggestions along the way. We met many kind drivers in Sri Lanka, but Mimi stood out. He went above and beyond to make our trip smooth and memorable. Honestly, for ease and peace of mind, I’d recommend just booking him for your whole trip! Can’t recommend him enough—thank you, Mimi!
