Enjoy cruising through the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary searching for local dolphins, one of the only wild dolphin populations living within a city. Keep an eye out for some of the famous local residents and, during the warmer months, newborn calves!

What To Expect
Port Adelaide
Enjoy cruising the iconic Port River in Port Adelaide learning about the rich maritime history. You'll get to visit the Ships Graveyard where the remains of at least 40 abandoned vessels lie embedded in silt and partially hidden by mangroves in the backwaters of the Port River, in Adelaide's north west. The collection includes large and small sailing, steam and motor vessels, barges, pontoons and dredges.
Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary
The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is one of the gems of metropolitan Adelaide. Located only 20 minutes from Adelaide, this marine park is home to around 30 resident bottlenose dolphins, with another 400 transient dolphins that visit at various times. These wild dolphins come here to feed, play, socialise and nurse their calves.

5.00Great experience to see something entirely unique. The cruise was very informative and the guide and skipper were great! Shout out to Larry and Jim for such an enjoyable experience, thanks for extending the trip to try a spot dolphins. Even though I didn’t get to see any dolphins, the ship graveyard was really cool and the photos I got to take were awesome. Definitely recommend for anyone with a spare few hours in Adelaide and very enjoyable as a solo traveller. Absolutely worth the price!

5.00our family recently took a tour of the Port River and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Altho we didnt see many dolphins up close, it was still a very good experience. The tour guide gave detailed talks on various boats and buildings along the way and also knowledge on the shipwrecks we saw. We loved the tour and would highly reccomend it .

4.00Jacob and Alex had a very good knowledge of the area we cruised through, and we were lucky enough to view many dolphins and hear the interesting history of the ships graveyard. A very enjoyable 90minute cruise, would recommend.

5.00The kids loved it as they got to see a good size pod of dolphins and then a couple play on the bow of the tug boat. The ship wrecks were okay but maybe not for kids. The boys Alex & Jacob were so friendly and great with everyone they made the trip interesting. Thanks you for a great day

5.00An excellent tour although the dolphins didn’t cooperate. The tour operator was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed the relevant information he gave us. He tried so hard to find dolphins for us that we ran more than 30 minutes over. I liked all the wrecks and his narratives. One small area for improvement would be get a Bluetooth speaker and headset for the back because sometimes it was difficult to hear when the speed was up. Well done!!!!

5.00My 5 year old grandson and I had a fabulous time! The booking was easy and the boarding was fun. We travellled on 13th October on the smaller boat. Saw about 11 dolphins before we went under the bridge! The crew were very knowledgeable about the River and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The time flew by and we had the best time.
