This experience invites you to fully immerse yourself in the musical essence of the Colombian Caribbean. You will not be a spectator anymore: here you will become protagonist, living the joy, rhythm and energy that characterize the region. You will have the opportunity to discover iconic instruments, learn to perform a traditional song guided by young musicians and teachers, and finally join a real ensemble where you will feel the Caribbean vibrate from within. It is an authentic, participatory and exciting activity that will allow you to experience music as a true artist, even for a day.

What To Expect
If you’re looking for music, joy, dancing and Caribbean sounds, this immersive experience is for you. Here you will be an artist - at least for a day - you will play an instrument, dance or sing in a group guided by more than 30 children and young people who are part of the Band of Baranoa, the musical ‘jewel’ of the Atlantic department. To start you will visit the headquarters of the Banda de Baranoa Foundation - located 35 minutes from Barranquilla - to know the trumpet, sax, percussion, cymbals, among other instruments that sing our most characteristic rhythms. Later on, you will learn to perform a traditional Colombian song from children musicians and teachers of the school. Finally, you will join with a typical song to the musical ensemble that will show you how the Colombian Caribbean sounds to live it, not only as a spectator, but also as an artist from our region.

5.00Visitar lugares es una oportunidad que podemos tener varias veces en la vida. Pero vivir una experiencia turística que le aporte valor a tu forma de ver el mundo es algo único. I have always thought Barranquilla was all about the carnival but it is is indeed the carnival and its manifestation on music who change a towns life and I promise you it will change yours!!! Once in a lifetime experience! It is all about getting to know deeper a culture, that's the real magic on traveling and you'll get it with this tour.

5.00Caribia tours and this experience in particular "A day as an artist of the colombian caribbean", are both, a tour operator and tour experience of unique characteristics of the finest quality. From the transport to the traditional snacks at the end of it, going through the musical exchange, all elements of this experience are carefully put together and guided by a warm team that will made of my trip a memorable experience. I highly recommend trying this tour if you fancy a quick -but real- glance at the musical culture of the Colombian caribbean.
