  We had an absolutely incredible day out with ABC Reef Safaris, without a a doubt one of the best experiences of my travels. From the moment we stepped on board, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and so incredibly knowledgeable. What really stood out was how much time the crew spent with guests. They were constantly chatting with everyone, answering questions and sharing their knowledge about the reef and marine life. Some of the staff were actually marine biologists, so they knew so much about the reef and were more than happy to talk about it, which made the whole experience feel really special and educational. The whole day felt like the closest thing to a personal reef adventure you could get. The group size made it feel really intimate and the crew’s passion for the reef made the experience feel very specialised and authentic. They also had a great lunch with heaps of variety on board which was a really nice touch after a morning in the water. It honestly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime trip. If you’re looking for a reef tour that feels personal, educational and truly memorable, I couldn’t recommend ABC Reef Safaris more.

  We were lucky enough to snorkel on Voyager recently and it was hands down one of the best reef experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we stepped onboard, the day felt premium, relaxed and incredibly well organised. The boat itself is spacious, stable and exceptionally comfortable. The ride out to the reef was smooth, with plenty of room to move around and take in the views. Downstairs, the air-conditioned lounge was a welcome retreat between snorkels, with wide, comfortable seating that made it easy to relax and recharge. And the top deck was absolute perfection. Stretching out in the sun, watching the reef glide by, it felt like a private experience. The snorkelling was unforgettable. The marine life was abundant and thriving, we even saw three turtles swimming together at once, which was such a special moment. There were vibrant coral gardens, schools of tropical fish everywhere, and so many little reef details we would have completely missed without the guidance of the crew. The guides were outstanding, incredibly knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely passionate about the reef. Every snorkel felt like a guided exploration rather than just a swim. They shared fascinating insights about coral ecosystems, marine behaviour and reef conservation, making the whole experience both inspiring and educational. The food on board was another highlight - fresh, generous and genuinely delicious. Getting in and out of the water was also incredibly easy. Voyager’s large ocean-level platform and wide ladder design made entry and exit smooth and comfortable. You’re able to step down gradually until the water reaches your chest before gently dismounting, which made it ideal for me. Voyager strikes the perfect balance between luxury and authentic reef adventure. Spacious, comfortable, expertly run and deeply informative, it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into creating something truly special. If you’re considering a snorkelling tour, this is the one.   The crew Mabel, Maria, Nico did such a great job! We had to different areas to snorkel and They did a great job pointing out different items under water- giant clams and different items on the reef! Nico did a great job with the appetizers and lunch! Very good! Jeff- our driver picked us up on time and on the way back to the hotel- he gave us a tour of downtown. This was on my “Bucket List’ items to accomplish- the Capt. and Crew did a fantastic job and I would recommend using them to anyone.

• Dont fear the big Dive cos vs ABC in Port Douglas

  We reserved a family dive back in november for our once in a lifetime trip to Australia in february. The reviews and small group size were tge main reasons for paying a roughly 30% premium to tge bigger mainstream offerings. 2 days before the dive we received a call from the company asking if we could change our date due to low interest levels ( offseason). We flew to Cairns just for the dive- so we could not change. The rep was understanding and mentioned there was only one other group besides our team of 3. There was NO mention that our dive could be cancelled. On tge afternoon before tge dive ( ie 16 hours before the scheduled departure) we were informed that our dive was cancelled. That didnt feel fair given we needed to cancel minimum 48 hrs before . And we had already flown to Cairns Luckily for us Quicksilver had availabilty. So we did the dive with QS and had a great time joined by a marine biologist who curated our dive with a group of 8 . The Quicksilver experience was awesome and priced significantly below ABC. On engaging ABC the owner was apologetic but preferred to take a competitive approach siting that the “big boys “ actually cancel 2 hours before departure. Not a good look for ABC in my opinion. Dont fear the larger dive companies- incredibly well organized and over staffed with great service

  Amazing crew, fabulous boat and lovely snacks and food. The crew were the highlight... they could not have been more friendly, helpful and informative! We were lucky enough to snorkel with Jeff who has loads of experience on the reef... very fortunate to see a turtle and three reef sharks as well as the beautiful tropical fish and coral! Mable was full of helpful facts. Nico ensured we were all fed and watered and generally had a good time. The rest of the crew: Maria, Pam and Jay were also extremely friendly. Cant wait to come back to the reef and sail with the ABC Reef team AGAIN!!! A very special day! Thanks to the entire team!!!

  Small ship experience with a fantastic crew. I would definitely use ABC again on our next trip. The Great Barrier Reef experience was the highlight of our 2 week Australia trip. From the hotel pick-up to the cruise out to the Reef to the lunch - it was all 5 star service.

  The only reason we flew to Queensland was this tour. First they tried to move us to a different time which was impossible due to our set schedule (2 days before the date), then they cancel it 18 hours before the trip. They can refer to any bs in their contact, but this is just sh*t treatment and wasted money on plane tickets, hotels and this damn company.

  ABC Reef Safari provided an exceptional day of GBR snorkeling. Their new boat Voyager is top notch and the crew was knowledgeable, fun, and caring. Great food spread. Communications before the trip were timely and thorough.
