Our all included tour is the best option to enjoy this beautiful volcano which travelers have rated it as the most beautiful volcano in all Central America, its beauty is due to the twin volcano Fuego which is active and performs an extraordinary eruption for all the travelers at our camping area on Acatenango.
Our company is located in front of the Fuego Volcano and if it is clear enough you will be able to see Pacaya and Agua volcanoes as well.
Each cabin has a pillow, – 6°C sleeping bag, extra blanket, a 5″ or 12cm comfortable mattress, under the matt all over the tent we have a waterproof carpet to isolate the cold from the bottom.
In our tourism project we work together with a cooperative of local guides CAT (Comité de Autogestión Turística) conformed by the people of the community San Jose Calderas, Chimaltenango.

Amazing experience overall. The hike was safe and well organized, the accommodations were comfortable, and the food was great. Huge shoutout to our guide Marvin for making the entire experience great and taking care of everyone throughout the hike. Highly recommend.

It is almost unheard of that I could spend 30 hours enduring the most physically and mentally challenging experience of my life, pushing my body to its limits, sitting with the unease of the absence of creature comforts like running water or electricity, and find absolutely nothing to critique or complain about. CA Travelers absolutely exceeded my expectations in terms of making the uncomfortable, bearable, and what seemed impossible, achievable. So much of my pre-hike anxiety centred on the amenities and accommodation. What would the cabins be like? What about the bathroom situation? I'm happy to say that CA Travelers' basecamp absolutely assuaged those fears. Don't get me wrong, you're still very much "roughing it" but in what I believe have to be the best possible circumstances on the volcano. The cabins, though snug, were comfortable and relatively insulated from the frigid temperatures on Acatenango. The communal dining area was a great place to hang out and watch Fuego, and the bathrooms were much better than I hoped for. On to the real reason I would recommend CA Travelers 100 times over though - the guides. I felt so informed, secure and taken care of over those two days. Marvin was a fantastic leader, making sure we knew what to expect at each junction. He inspired a lot of confidence in me that this was going to be a well-managed experience. Our other guides, Lorena, Philberto and David were attentive and caring, checking in on everyone regularly and ensuring we were managing ok. I have to give a really special shout out to Alex, who was not only my porter but also stayed with me as I lagged terribly behind the group for the summit hike. He was encouraging without pressuring or rushing me. I definitely wouldn't have made it to the summit without him and I won't ever forget his kindness. I may never hike Acatenango again (once in this lifetime was accomplishment enough!) but if I had to I would absolutely do it with CA Travelers each time.

My friend and I had so much fun on Acatenango. Our tour guide Marvin made us feel very safe, kept a good pace, and made sure no one got left behind. Everything was timely and we started hiking a little after 10:30 and made it to base camp at 4. The cabins were small but comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. We got a good amount of food including breakfast the morning before the trip. Based on listening to other’s experiences at other companies I’m convinced CA Travelers can give you the best experience for the lowest price.

CA Travelers is an exceptional team! We recently booked the Volcano Acatenango/Fuego tour and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything was well organized, including the transportation and food, and it was truly one of the best volcano experiences we’ve ever had. A special thanks to Marvin Figueroa, who did an amazing job as our guide and tour leader. I highly recommend them!
