Great experience! We purchased this last minute and had no trouble acquiring tickets at a designated location right next to the main entrance of the museum.

Visiting the Galleria dell’Accademia was one of the highlights of my trip to Florence. Seeing Michelangelo’s David in person was absolutely breathtaking—the scale, detail, and craftsmanship are impossible to appreciate fully until you’re standing in front of it. The museum also offers fascinating insight into Renaissance art and Michelangelo’s creative process through his unfinished sculptures. The experience was well organized, informative, and truly unforgettable. I highly recommend visiting the Accademia to anyone traveling to Florence.

There was zero information that we needed to buy tickets for kids and it was extremely frustrating because we had to go buy additional tickets. The process was convoluted and messy.

Wonderful, Antonio ( was AWESOME!! And very good English) not only shared history of pieces seen but added more details in music history which my daughters who play piano loved, small grps, shorter lines that helped tremendously since we were experiencing a heat wave. The ear phones really helped, and I appreciated having it all explained in one language verses switching comments,I am trilingual and could appreciate how they did it, for my family I loved that they could enjoy it in one language . A must do in Florence you won’t regret it. And finally seeing peices is one thing understanding them is quite another.

You pay quite a lot for very little. You don’t skip lines, you get on a line with others who paid €60. The guide was knowledgeable but seeing David requires nothing more than your eyes. Get a ticket and go on your own.

It turned out to be a voucher and totally unclear where we could pick up our tickets. In the end it worked with a lot of effort. Not recommended this way!

Our guide was fantastic. He was exactly at the meeting point, and got us right into the museum. Even though it was packed, he knew where to lead us, which side of each exhibit, and he spoke the entire time into his microphone. His voice was very calming even with the noise of the other visitors. We spent about 20 minutes at David, carefully walking to every angle. His words were so informative and detailed, and again very calming. This guide was GREAT!
