What To Expect
Holy Trinity Cathedral
Holy Trinity Cathedral, also known in Amharic as Kidist Selassie, is the highest ranking Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was built in 1942 to commemorate the Ethiopian victory over Italian occupation and is an important place of worship in Ethiopia. The tombs of the Emperor Haile Selassie and Empress Menen Asfaw, as well as other members of the Imperial Family, can be found inside the cathedral.
Located in Piazza area, Tomoca is the oldest coffee shop in Ethiopia (since 1953). Ethiopian traditional coffee ceremony is one of the most iconic and cherished cultural rituals in Ethiopia.

5.00I had a blast during the one day trip to Addis Ababa, with Kiru and Addis . We spent the day exploring cultural (Menelik Palace, National Museum, Bata Mariam Church) and shopping sites (Shero Meda, Mercato Market, and local antique store) in Addis and also enjoying the traditional cuisines and beverage of Ethiopia. The pick up was convenient, straight at the hotel. Also, if you're a gemstone lover, the Ethiopian opals are exquisite. The opals are worth the hunt. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and worth going again with Addis Ababa Authentic Private City Tour.

5.00Our experience with Addis Authentic Tours cannot be better. Our tour guide Alex and driver Atsede were professional, detail minded and friendly. Alex told us lots about Ethiopia history and stories which were very interesting. He was very knowledgeable but did not talk too much. We had a long layover with Ethiopian Airline and landed in the early morning. Alex changed the meet up point to our hotel at a later time so that we could have a shower and breakfast before picking us up which was really nice. Since this was our first time in Ethiopia, Alex took us to all the most important tourist spots including the mercato. This is a great experience to me and of course to my 10 year old daughter too. Alex has always checked on us to make sure we were following safely. The mercato was definitely a challenge to my daughter and now she is very happy to have completed this mission. Atsede was a perfect driver. Driving in busy Addis Ababa is definitely not easy but Atsede drove very safely with her solid skills. Besides the perfect driving, she works seamlessly with Alex as well. For many times she dropped us off at some busy streets for sightseeing and she always arrived just right in time at the spots when we finished our sightseeing so we could jump back in the car straight away. Of course she was not just a driver. We had some nice chats and talked about our lives as well. She even took care of my daughter in the car when I went souvenir shopping. Alex has asked us what we would like to see all the way. We even finished late which both of Alex and Atsede had to work extra time. We really appreciate their passion in their jobs. We would really like to have another experience with them in Ethiopia.

5.00What a special tour and wonderful day! We had the pleasure of being taken around Addis Ababa with Alex and Atsede. Alex was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide as well as a storyteller. From what we learnt from the beginning of the day to the end, came together well and felt as though we were given a well rounded history of Ethiopia. Very thorough and informative day alongside two very kind hearted people! Thank you for such a wonderful day. We felt very safe with Atsede as our driver. We will be back again in Ethiopia and for sure use this tour company. Book it you will not regret it!!!

5.00I took the 1 day city tour and had a great time. My tour guide Kiru and driver Addis were wonderful. They went out of their ways to ensure that I enjoyed the experiences. I took lots of good pictures at the Mercato market and pottery factory. The lunch and coffee were excellent too. Would highly recommend if you plan to take a tour with them.
