  Customer service is the best to be found anywhere. CP charters run Captain Proud, and although the vessel is quite old and the enclosed deck layout needing an upgrade, the views are brilliant and the crew always helpful.

• Lovely relaxed trip. Well worth doing.

  Our guide Roy was brilliant! He kept us entertained throughout the whole day and was very knowledgeable about the local area and landmarks. The meal was very good on the river cruise (and so were the cocktails!). We would definitely recommend this trip.

  Adelaide Hills Tour with Murray River Lunch Cruise from Murray Bridge on board the Captain Proud - 3 hrs. Our bus driver Phil (CP Tours & Charters) to Murray Bridge was very friendly and picked us up at our Glenelg hotel on time. On board it was very difficult to hear commentary as there were many other noisy passenger groups who did not show any courtesy when the captain was speaking. I am 64 and I was the youngest, so it was a bit like a geriatric gathering. Having said that, it was a week day and outside school holidays. Nothing amazing about the river to see so the 3 hour trip was too long, it would bore children silly. Lunch - there was a good choice and they catered well for gluten free diet but the chicken schnitzel was overdone, dry with darkened crumb. The pepper sauce was just gravy with a lot of ground black pepper thrown in. Air con was too cold and we were told it runs 24 hrs a day and can't be changed. While it probably gets quite warm on a hot summer day and would be appreciated, it was too chilly inside for shorts and long sleeves the day we went. Overall a "nice" experience, but it will be a one-off for me.

  I really enjoyed this quiet, relaxing, informative & scenic lunch cruise on the Murray River. Views were very nice & lunch was great. Our guide / driver Karen was excellant. She was informative, knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. She made us all fill like a family. The crew on the Captain Pround were also excellant. Very friendly & caring to all of our needs.

  This day trip is great for families and friends. It’s relaxing and unhurried. Mt Lofty Summit has a great view (when it’s not cloudy). The 3-hour Murray river cruise is picturesque where we get to see many boathouses and pelicans.
